The walkers rest is a self contained 1 bedroom annexe attached to our family home. With it's own private entrance, garden and hot tub. There is direct access to The National Trust Wenlock Edge Forest, with breath taking views, miles of walking trails, bridle paths and cycle routes. Much Wenlock is a 2 min drive or a short walk through the forest to quaint shops and pubs. Shrewsbury, Iron bridge, Ludlow, Buildwas Abbey, Church Stretton, The Wrekin are some of the places within a short drive.

We are tucked away right in the heart of Welshpool, by the gates of Powys Castle parkland with a private entrance for privacy in the countryside and ease of access to the local shop, pubs and restaurants. A 5 minute walk up the high street and you can hop into the Llanfair light steam railway, it is also where the A450 starts, which offers easy access to the welsh coast like Aberdovey (just over 1Hour drive away) driving through parts of Snowdonia mountains

The lodge

A newly renovated cottage attached to the barns of the main hall , with private parking and your own access. It is a perfect base for dog and hill walking. The lodge is surrounded by the fabulous Shropshire hills, a 5 minute walk to the nearest pub yet just 20 minute away from the centre of Shrewsbury. There is a private seating area outside the front of the lodge and access to the pony paddocks of you have a dog that needs a run around! Sports massage available next door on request !

Gothic Victorian Gate House & Hot Tub Welshpool

This beautiful, unspoilt detached 1820s gate lodge, with exposed beams, flagstone floor and eclectic decor, lies just a short stroll from the centre of the charming market town of Welshpool, with its fine selection of shops, inns and restaurants. Situated opposite the town’s train station for the Llanfair Heritage Steam Railway. Its location affords easy access to the gateway of wales. Uneven flagstone steps to 1 double bedroom. Sofa bed in living room and single bed via steep stairs.

Providing comfortable accommodation for those wishing to explore the many natural and historical delights mid Wales and Shropshire has to offer. You are renting the entire property. All are welcome, along with your pets. Located near to Offa's Dyke Path. Many other walking and cycling routes.

Our Lodges are set in 6 acres of grounds offering a peaceful countryside experience in the heart of Mid Wales. The Lodges have outstanding views over the wildlife pond & surrounding countryside. Fully central heated, with a king size bed complete with all bedding & towels, each lodge has its own en suite shower room with wc, Kitchenette ( 2 ring gas hob,combination microwave, kettle & toaster etc) with outside dining area on the large elevated decking.

Orchard Barn

The Orchard Barn at Old Court Farm. Our country hideaway has been lovingly brought to life from its humble beginnings as a Old cider barn. Designed and built here on the farm, this modern conversion brings a luxurious ‘interior feel’ surrounded by never-ending oak beams with views over looking the apple orchards. With 70 acres of near by orchards for you and your pets to ‘roam freely’ it’s a true feeling of the very beautiful English countryside.
