Really clean! just like what other reviews mentioned. There's heater in the shared bunk bed room too. Private parking for guest so you don't have to park by the road side.

Such a cozy, cute hotel and with the tram running right in front! Lots of attractions nearby and good restaurants.

Mark and Sunny were friendly, helpful and accomodating. Will definitely stay here again.

We arrived at Ghost Lodge after a few long days of riding. We had booked the beach side hot tub to soak our weary bones that evening. Simon met us and showed us around, it is the perfect spot and has been renovated to perfection, down to every detail. Plenty of spaces to chill,relax or chat with other guests. A fabulous beach setting, a well designed and equipped kitchen, and a lovely bathroom. Safe parking for motorbikes even chain wax on hand if required! Highly recommend staying here and a soak in the hot tub, we saw heaps of stars and satellites (including the star link) it’s still warm enough for a bath in the morning watching the sunrise - perfect start to the day. A gorgeous place all round.

We found it the best place we’ve stayed in New Zealand. Access to the sauna,beach,pool table and hot tubs makes this place perfect to relax. The photos don’t do this place justice !! Simon is a very chilled host and makes the place even better to stay.

Merci beaucoup à Harry pour sa gentillesse il a été très amicale avec nous . Nous avons pris l’apéritif avec les habitués du bar et la soirée fut très sympathique le dîner était aussi très bon avec le véritable steak kiwi 👍 Nous garderons un bon souvenirs de notre passage ici De plus son cousin a eu la gentillesse de nous déposer à l’arrêt de bus le plus proche le lendemain cela sans supplément ce qui est rare de nos jours Merci à toute votre équipe Les Frenchee Quentin et Aline

Accomodations better than expected

The hostel provides everything you need for a great stay in Christchurch and the staff is great. Anthony, thanks again for being our lifesaver!

Great place to stay for our family. Very clean amenities and a spectacular view. Nice and quiet, would recommend the Haka House backpackers when travelling around NZ

We had a great overnight stay after our long haul flight. The motel was a 15minute bus ride from the airport with a stop right outside the motel.There was a mini store across the road so able to get a meal ingredients so a decent meal in the room.Otherwise plenty restaurants on the street.That same bus stop was the route to the city centre and the beautiful park was only 100 metres away. The room was clean comfy and a good shower.The guy at reception was very nice and helpful

Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und man zeigte uns direkt alles. Unser Zimmer war sauber und ruhig, obwohl wir direkt gegenüber der Badezimmer untergebracht waren. Die Gemeinschaftsbadezimmer waren zu jeder Zeit sauber und die Küche im Grunde ebenfalls (es liegt ja immer an den Gästen, wie sauber sie alles hinterlassen). Für uns war es ein angenehmer Aufenthalt in diesem Backpacker Hotel.
