River Cottage Near Loch Lomond

River Cottage is a detached riverside property located in the quiet village of Croftamie on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. This charming cottage has been finished to a high standard and enjoys lovely views over rolling fields. The spacious decking area overlooks the river "Catter Burn" and is an ideal vantage point for watching the abundance of local wildlife. As an added bonus, free riverside fishing is available from within the grounds of the cottage and there is direct access onto open fields. The open plan living space has two large sofas (one being a sofa bed, making it possible to accommodate up to four adults). Please note the supplement for the extra guests/sofa bed. The kitchen area is fully fitted with table and chairs for dining. We have excellent restaurants nearby - The Clachan in Drymen, is the oldest licensed pub in Scotland (1734) The Oak tree at Balmaha or The Old Mill in Killearn, all serve excellent food in a friendly atmosphere. We are delighted to welcome dogs as long as they bring their own beds, are not allowed on furniture and not left unattended. Worth noting that we have chickens roaming freely and the cottage is surrounded by fields which have livestock. We charge £10 per dog, per night and this can be paid at check in. This peaceful and private apartment comprises of the whole lower ground floor of a Georgian mansion house just off the A82 set in an incredible nine acre woodland garden with a riverside walk up to a beautiful loch. There is a spacious living room with wood burner and large kitchen with aga cooker and dining. The bathroom features a double ended bath and shower. Glasgow City centre, Glasgow Airport and Loch Lomond are within 15-20 minute drive from the house which has private, secure parking.

Quarry cabins Loch Lomond. Built by ourselves

We built our cabin next door to our house. In an old quarry in Bonhill. Loch lomond is a 5min drive away. The cabin has one bedroom with king size bed. A fully equipped kitchen, sitting room with sofa bed, foldaway dining table and chairs. A log burner. Guests will have their own parking area. A decking area with table and chairs. There are some lovely places to walk. Ben lomond. Ben A’an. Conic Hill. The cobbler. Luss village. The cycle path is close by. It runs alongside Loch Lomond.

Altquhur Cottage

Altquhur Cottage is in a beautiful location with stunning views over the Campsie Fells, 10 minutes by car to the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond. The cottage is set on a farm with horses, cows and sheep in the surrounding fields and hens roaming around outside the garden. The cottage has a spacious dining kitchen, cosy living room with wood burning stove and comfortable sofa bed, double bedroom, bathroom and utility room. There is a fully enclosed garden with outdoor furniture.

Cats Castle

Built in 1888, Cats Castle sits in two acres on the seaward side of the A814, just beyond the western edge of Dumbarton. The property has wonderful views down the Firth of Clyde. Cats Castle is close to Glasgow, Helensburgh, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. The castle comprises three reception rooms, all with working fireplaces, a family kitchen, pantry, and five bedrooms, including the turret bedroom on the top floor. Suitable for family holidays or special occasions.
