This is a lovely home and provided our family an idyllic holiday weekend over Easter. Everything is as pictured. Howard is an extremely gracious host; always quick to respond. We just left this morning and my 12 year old is already asking when we can go bock. :)

Phenomenal place to stay!! More than we expected. If looking for a getaway and do some skiing this is the place to stay. Nancy was so helpful and always checked in on us to make sure we were good. If staying in the winter months for some skiing, definitely make sure you are in a 4WD.

This little cabin was in a gorgeous location! Right next to the snow tubing and not far from grandfather mountain! The views from the hot tub were amazing! Brought our two dogs and they loved it! The patio with the hot tub was fenced in so the dogs were able to hang with us while we were relaxing in the hot tub! Definitely would recommend and plan to come back!

We had an amazing stay and thoroughly enjoyed the front yard for all day sledding! The house was spacious - perfect for our four families! Most importantly, the hosts were super friendly and responsive to any questions we had! We will definitely be back to enjoy the river in the summer!!

Will was a great host and very responsive. His home was beautiful, had great amenities and most importantly clean and taken care of! Most will need 4x4 to get up and down the driveway especially it has snowed or is icy.

This was easily one of my most favorite vacations of all time. The tranquility and the peace that Nancy is beautiful property provided will be a memory that I will always cherish with my kids. Outside of the property, we were fortunate enough to take a pottery lesson with her and my daughter mentioned several times to me how this was one of her favorites experiences with me. In addition, they were kind enough to share an opportunity to hike down to their private land in the gorge gorge for a peaceful and fun Saturday afternoon. What an adventure it was and well worth it. overall, we will definitely be looking at coming back and absolutely be sharing this magical place with friends and family.

This was, by far, the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever had. I’m talking not a speck of dust - not even in the corners of the basement bathroom, folks! We booked Janice’s place last minute from a hotel after finding our original rental was inaccessible. She was gracious enough to allow early check in and welcomed our dogs without exorbitant fees. The location is quiet and peaceful yet central to everything. Beds were comfortable (dog bed included 🥰) and everything was simple & smooth, which meant a lot after the debacle we’d been through. Janice is a host who has gone the extra mile. Her place is incredibly well maintained and you’ll want for nothing. If you are looking for a rental where you can truly relax, this is the one. I only wish we’d booked this as our original choice so we could’ve enjoyed it longer. Would stay here again and again, 5 stars doesn’t begin to do it justice 💛

Our stay at Anne's house was simply amazing. She is the perfect host, always responsive, helpful, accommodating whenever possible, willing to answer questions, and the home itself was absolutely perfect! Every single person in our group returned raving about the house and how perfect it was for our weekend of skiing.

Richard's cabin is a sweet and cozy place with plenty of outdoor areas to hang out. The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the cookware we could possibly need. It was very convenient to Boone and Blowing Rock, as well as Grandfather Mountain where we spent most of our time hiking. Plenty of instructions for checking out procedure and Richard was a very responsive host. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

The cabin was just as pictured and was the perfect location for visiting Banner Elk and Boone. We had a very relaxing weekend with our pups. The laundry room had a large crate and linens for the dogs. The laundry area was huge and was roomy enough for our second dog. Ha ha....she is a chihuahua. The cabin was easy to locate and was perfect for us. The weather was not in our favor but the fireplace kept us cozy. You can't go wrong renting this place if you are in the Banner Elk area. Great Value. Would definitely stay again.

The bed is amazing and location is walkable to restaurants, shops and university. Earthfare is close for groceries, etc. Denise is friendly and responsive and finding the place is a straight shot when arriving to Boone. Parking is easy and convenient to right into the cottage. Everything you need is in the house and spotless.

We enjoyed the time at this location. Was very clean and nice. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We were able to really rest and relax on porch in the evenings after a day of adventure. Overall great place and great time

This was our second time staying at Pat’s home and once again it was the perfect option for our family. It’s located perfectly so that we can visit with family in Rhea Valley and Mountain City while also exploring Damascus, hiking on the AT and rambling in the local creeks. It’s was easy to get to Shady Valley to go hiking and to explore Backbone Rock. Having Food City two minutes away is really nice, the dogs love the big fenced yard and we LOVED sitting out on the front porch drinking coffee, reading books and relaxing with the neighbors all out on their front porches. Again…it’s the perfect home for our family!

Absolutely stunning views. We had everything we needed to stay cozy when the winter storm came. The location is fabulous and very easy to get to the local restaurants. The condo was super clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the shuffleboard table while watching the snow fall.

Molly’s wonderful cottage was the perfect place for our weekend getaway with friends. Located right next to the Virginia Creeper trail made for easy biking and walking with beautiful scenery. The cottage and the barn apt.were clean and comfortable. The fire pit was grand and the little ones loved the arts and crafts. We can’t wait to go back.

Karen was a wonderful hostess, invariably kind in ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. I highly recommend her place for hikes into the mountains or for a quiet place for some relaxation.

We had a great stay at this condo, Avery was very helpful and communicative and answered any questions I had very quickly. The views were stunning, the area was beautiful, we would definitely love to come again.

What a great place! Also the host was very kind and great communication! Very nice place and only 10 minutes from Sugar Mountain. Wonderful amenities including pool, hot tub, sauna, library, shop, workout room etc etc. Only (potential) issue which is no fault of the owners is that this is a large 10 story condo complex. On busy days, especially around the weekend it can get very busy during check in and check out and you have to park outside of the guard shack and get shuttled back to the condo. Again, we didn’t really have much of a hang up but others did-just something to keep in mind. Fantastic place, and well equipped! Thank you again!

Nice house but well maintained. In a gated community which is a plus and access in and out was super easy. In walking distance to an upscale/famous restaurant. In strong proximity to Boone and Blowing Rock with a very quick drive to the Parkway.

Whitney & Jay were great hosts—responsive and helpful when we had questions. The space was just as shown/described in the listing. My family of four enjoyed our stay during spring break and our first time skiing during Sugar Mountain’s end-of-season March Madness. We made such wonderful memories here. Be sure to enjoy the most stunning sunrises and sunsets from the balcony.

Great place, exactly as advertised. Cheetola in general is a great resort and Balsam is off to one side, giving you extra privacy with woods in the back. 15 min drive to App Ski, which is what we came for. The place does have a dated furnishing style but it’s charming in its own way. One suggestion for improvement would be the mattress in the main bedroom, starting to get a bit old. Also, there was ice in the parking lot and on the steps leading to the unit. But that seems to be a Cheetola problem, not Gail.
