We had a wonderful few day's stay in John's beautiful cottage. John is very engaging and even phoned while we were on our way to Holy Island to make sure we had received the key code and to see if we had any questions. On arrival everything was in order and Johns instructions on how to find his cottage were perfect. The cottage is incredibly well situated in the village with stunning views of the castle from the kitchen, garden and both bedrooms. We could have just spent our whole time on Hoy Island sat on the patio in the sunshine taking in the incredible view! The cottage is very up to date and the kitchen is well-equipped if you are more inclined to self cater. Everything in the village is only a few minutes walk away. There is a pub virtually next door and another pub two minutes away, also several cafes. There is also a gin shop right next door! There is room to park one car right outside and an EV charging point if you need one. All in all this is a fantastic property.

Delightful coastal feel with comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 babies. Lisa and Gavin were very helpful throughout the whole process.

The cottage is lovely with beautiful surroundings. The living room in particular is stunning. We are a family of 5 and had plenty of space. Our eldest (11) loved the loft bedroom. Instructions from Liz were excellent and using what3words we found the cottage with no issues. The area is gorgeous and we saw lots of wildlife on the way which was great. The cottage is about an hour away from the centre of Edinburgh, so it’s ideal if you’re wanting to visit Edinburgh but stay away from the noise of a city. We had an amazing time at the Holiday Hoose! Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. The house was lovely and perfect for our weekend.

Words cannot describe how amazing Simone is and her gorgeous retreat. I took my Dad away for a little trip away as he is rather poorly and the original place I had booked was appalling! So bad I refused to stay. Thinking I'd have to take my Dad back home as finding somewhere suitable for his needs is slim picking, never mind on an August Friday night at 6pm, last weekend of the summer holidays. Nevertheless, after refusing to give up I found this gem, both in Simone and her retreat. Just what we needed . Simone went above and beyond from the second I placed the booking, she rang me straight away, said she would met us there, she had the retreat warming through for us, lights on and made us feel absolutely at home. So much so I had to give her a hug. The whole experience from start to finish was 10 star. The place is beautiful, the views are outstanding, area is perfect. My Dad is dying to go back already. And I can't wait to take him. See you soon x

All good but I have to comment the bed mattresses were a little too hard for us all.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Michael as he was away but we did meet the lovely Carol who was there on our arrival. We had a brilliant 2nt stay in the Partridge Hut. It was exactly the same as the photos. A comfortable bed and large powerful shower. It had everything you needed for such a compact space. We were fortunate with the weather and were able to use the outdoor seating and even got the fire pit going on the 1 nt. It was lovely to wake up to the birdsong and the little bunnies hopping around. We ate at the Milecastle Inn which was recommended by Carol and was spot on and then had fish and chips at the Ocean takeaway in Haltwhistle the last nt. Hadrians Wall is just on your doorstep and the Lanercost Priory which is in walking distance from the hut. A great tearoom and gift shop there too. If you’re after a quiet and relaxing time, Michael’s place is perfect and we will definitely return.

We had a lovely stay and our pooch loved it also. It was warm and welcoming with lovely views. The hot tub was a great place to star watch. We hope to visit again

A beautifully presented property in stunning Northumberland. The property is close to the heart of Seahouses but set away in private peaceful street only a few mins walk from the centre of town. The property is incredibly clean and much much bigger than the pictures can possibly show. Each room on its own floor feels private and perfect for large family or group wanting to get together but also have some privacy. The Northumberland coastline is one of the most beautiful parts of the UK and this property is right in the heart of it.
