It was really lovely to see the Cuckoo Chalet at this tme of year. The Deer would walk through the yard in the morning, and it was like being in observatory. We could eatch the Canda Geese at play on thelake. A wonderful time. The house if so cozy!

Fantastic location, beautifully crafted cabins. Spent a weekend celebrating my brother before his wedding next month. Hung out with Astro the dog and ate great food including ribs over the open fire. Also biked on the wheeling river trail down to the market. Jim and Jo Ellen were incredibly helpful and communicative. Thanks for sharing your property!

Bill was hands down the best host I’ve ever had, super down to earth and just an all around great guy and host. We went snowboarding just about all week and had an absolute blast. I would recommend this place to my friends and family any day. Even though our vacation hit a few bumps Bill was extremely accommodating and helpful even though he didn’t have to be. Hoping to come back again next year if he’ll have us. 10/10 would recommend this stay.

this property is so unique and beautiful. The bed was so comfortable. The entire environment was relaxing. I highly recommend a soak in the tub! We will be back when we have time to explore the grounds and HEDGE MAZE! If the weather had been better this time, we would have done more exploring. Bill was very kind and attentive. We were surprised by delicious baked goods both days of our stay. The cottage is quaint, cozy, and a great little retreat for us and our dog. It is also conveniently located for trips to morgantown. We're already talking about staying again!

A phenomenal stay! The place was SO clean and way more beautiful than pictured. Beds were comfortable, soaps/shampoos and towels were SUPER PLENTIFUL. Mike and Trish's hospitality was the best we've ever experienced at ANY AirBnB. Mike even spent a long time helping us install our bike rack in the dark because we were really struggling! They delivered a crock pot and tweezers (a child got a splinter) within minutes of us asking. Talk about customer service! We LOVED feeding their horses and our kids had the BEST time playing with their puppy. This was definitely the low key retreat we needed to get away from the hectic hustle and bustle of DC. Their location was wonderful for a 20 mile RT bike ride and hikes in numerous parks. We will definitely return again, it was a perfect weekend!

We went to enjoy a quiet nature vacation and that’s exactly what we got. Quincy was even able to accommodate a last minute change so we could extend our stay. Lovely pantry option made for zero shopping and was waiting for us upon arrival. Lovely spot with a delightful host. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Colleen’s place. With six of us, the house offered plenty of space to accommodate everyone comfortably. The kitchen was very well organized, and Colleen was extremely helpful throughout our stay. The porch and grounds provided lots of outdoor space to relax, and with easy access to Kaymoor, we would have been able to spend the entire weekend climbing without needing to use our car. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends!

We always look forward to our annual visit to Highland Trace. We relax as soon as we turn the corner, see the house and the beautiful valley it sits in. Time spent here is cherished! Already ready for our return.

Our family enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse - The kitchen and bathrooms were thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials. The bedrooms felt very clean and comfortable. The house was spacious and well laid out. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Our family would gladly stay here again!

We loved staying at Horsecamp. It was a Beautiful location and pet friendly which is critical to us. The farm animals were super cute and friendly. Every spice and pantry item you could think of so great for cooking. We skiied Timberline and hiked in Canaan valley during the day and both were a breeze to get to. Only about 20 min. Would absolutely stay again!

The house is just as described. The area is very quiet but is close to shopping and restaurants. There is a very friendly dog that likes to come over and hang out. I would stay again.

Another great stay. The cabin is wonderful and the trails on property made it a great place to walk our dog. The WiFi was good enough to allow my wife to work remotely.

So often after viewing the pics of a rental the actual facility turns out to be disappointing. In this case the photos don't represent how wonderful this little piece of paradise on top of the ridge really is. Small, yes, but clean and well built and welcoming. We were blessed with fresh eggs from the hens next door and one of the best tasting loaves of fresh baked bread we've ever had, even the rooster is obliging and courteous only crowing a few times at a very reasonable hour. Make sure you pack yourself some victuals before you travel in because no nearby stores or restaurants is a feature, not a bug. Don't pass this rental up if you're in the area, just don't rent it for a night we want to come back.

We enjoyed our stay at Jennifer and Kyle's beautiful cottage. The decor was so tasteful and the kitchen was equipped with all you will need. The house was spotless! The outside fire pit was great. We enjoyed making smores with the welcome basket left by the host. We loved the lighting over the hot tub. The goats and pig enjoyed our visits and the leftovers. We were sad to leave and will definitely go back again.

This cute farm house was great!! We enjoyed our stay and it was plenty of room for us. They had all the necessities and we enjoyed most of our meals there. It was so peaceful and we saw so many animals! The lake and kayaking was fun as well. We would definitely stay again.

Emma’s place is WONDERFUL. We will absolutely be back. The home is so cozy and clean and we loved how peaceful it was. Seeing horses and chickens right out front was such a treat! Emma is so communicative and was a model host. 10/10 recommend staying here!

Everything was amazing! The home was clean and comfortable. Anything we could possibly need was provided. Gina was quick to respond to questions and the location was fabulous. We’ll absolutely be back!

We just had a little family reunion for the weekend. The kids loved the hot tub and the house was big enough for everyone to relax and just spend time together.

It was a peaceful family get away. The house is well stocked with necessities. The animals were an adorable touch. I enjoyed feeding them more than the kids did. The trails are more for able bodied people. My clumsy 2 year old was not able to get very far. My kids and dogs loved playing in the mini beach. The cave hot tub unique but we were not able to use it. The peoperty itself is gorgeous. I would love to come back.

Thank You for making my 54th birthday so pleasant and peaceful. The house is very private but at the same time it has glass window everywhere to let int he natural light. My favorite spot in the house was the back porch. It was private but the furniture was beautifully and comfortable. I spent hours just sitting and mediating out there. The kitchen is well stocked with everything a family would need to make a complete meal. The shower head made me feel like I was in a spa. The towels mad me feel as if I was drying with clouds. ( I have to find out where they bought those towels. I LOVED this house and so did my group of women I brought with me. There was plenty of room for everyone. I will definitely rent this house again.

We had a great stay at the cabin! It was beautiful, peaceful, and the hosts were super responsive. The cabin is great and spacious. We did great hikes around the area and went to a nearby distillery that we loved!

The cabin was such a lovely spot for a getaway. It was equipped with everything we needed, made the stay feel like we were home away from home. Love that the house was equipped with entertainment (tvs, board games, pool/foosball in the basement), the backyard was the best part! Loved the hot tub and hanging by the fire pit at the end of each night. Definitely a spot worth visiting, our family can’t wait to come back in the future!

The Cedar Waxwing cabin was pristine, amazingly well stocked with everything you’d need to enjoy your stay and on a beautiful, private patch of land. To top it all off, the hosts are super friendly and responsive. We locked ourselves out in the middle of the night and they got us back in quickly and with no problems! If you are browsing to find a cabin in the area, look no further. This is the place to stay!
