My first yurt! Thoughtfully designed and has the perfect little forest around it, complete with a bubbling fountain that sounds wonderful and relaxing. One of my favorite places I’ve stayed. Convenient to everything I needed, peaceful and serene environment, all the amenities were as described, and Ellen is a beautiful soul. So glad we stayed here. We will be back!

Très bon séjour de 4 nuits chez Emma et Jon, nous avons été très bien accueillis. Nous étions seuls sur le site et avons pu pleinement profiter des commodités. Les yourtes sont très spacieuses et cosy avec le poêle à bois. La cuisine commune est très bien équipée et nettoyée chaque jour. Emma et Jon sont très réactifs (changement du chauffe eau défectueux dans la journée). Ils ont toujours un mot gentil, sans etre envahissant. Pas de vue direct sur le loch comme les photos pourraient le suggérer. Le petit plus: les œufs frais du poulailler.

The yurt was great! Right by the water, close to breweries and a meadery (!), and a great setup for a campfire.

This is our second time staying in Stacy’s yurt and it very much works for our family of 4 with dog. We camp a lot so feel very comfortable with any rustic parts of the yurt. And the view and stars are lovely!

The Yurt was so much fun. It is camping, or glamping I should say, so keep that in mind. But it did have everything we needed. It was a little cold at night, but Pam got us extra heating blankets to help. Pam was very responsive to our needs and she went out of our way to make sure we were comfortable and happy, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was shared with one other Yurt and the water was warm (not hot) but, remember, you are GLAMPING so that should be expected. The microwave and the wifi are in the "barn," which is a short walk away. I have AT&T and had no service in the Yurt. We loved our time there and will definitely consider coming back again. It is in such an amazing location and you do get away from all the crazy of city life.

Hannah’s yurt was a fantastic getaway. We highly recommend visiting! So peaceful and comfortable with the fireplace.

What an amazing place. Stunning views extremely secluded. Was a pleasure to stay there. Very rustic and a great place for the kids to explore.

We had a nice relaxing couple of days in the yurt. It was a tranquil location and also close to wineries and other activities at the same time. Definitely recommend!

Our stay was absolutely incredible. You cannot beat the experience. We have stayed at a number of ‘glamping’ locations throughout the country and this blew them all away. The scenery, the comfort, the attention to detail like keeping spare toothbrushes and razors in the bathroom, cider in the fridge, robes by the bed... I’ve stayed in lesser 4 star hotels. They have put a lot of time and investment in this and it totally shows. Chaps, for the romance aspect this is the best out there and your girl will be showing it off for days. Don’t hesitate and just book. Couldn’t recommend enough and we will absolutely be back.

I can’t speak highly enough of the space and Emma, the host. Emma is extremely responsive with any queries whatsoever. She was so knowledgeable and helpful and the check in was seamless. When we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat but the pictures just don’t do it justice. The yurt is absolutely magical and Emma has thought of everything, anything you could possibly need is provided and the instruction booklet is clear and thorough so you know how everything works. We slept like kittens in the very comfy bed and it is so unbelievably cosy and relaxing, we didn’t stop smiling the whole time. Thoroughly recommend taking advantage of the hot tub and the pizza oven, Emma’s dough was delicious and the instructions to work the oven were very clear and helpful. We didn’t want to leave. The whole place is so magical with the fairy lights and going to sleep to the sound of owls was really lovely. We will 100% be back. Thank you so much, Emma ❤️❤️❤️

We had a fantastic stay in yurt. It looks amazing and it’s very well equipped. It was freezing at night but heater didn’t disappoint us, it was nice and warm inside (not so warm in the bathroom but manageable). Views of surrounding mountains are incredible. We had one more addition to our stay - orange cat who visited us few times. Would love to come back here again, highly recommend this place!

We went for a weekend getaway. The experience was what we expected it to be. It was surrounded by the woods, we got to light our own fire in the pit, roasted a few things. However, due to light rains had to wrap it up a little early (can't do anything about it), still thoroughly enjoyed it. The kitchen is equipped to prepare some basic stuff, and an outdoor BBQ for some heavy cooking (if weather permits). We were welcomed by the hosts and their two cute dogs. Expect that there will be other dogs around, as this is a pet friendly place. We made our own fire in the fire pit and room heater, there was plenty of wood, and tools to prepare kindling. We didn't need the room heater in fall season. My only feedback would be for washroom. Sometimes the smell can creep in the yurt if the flap in the toilet doesn't close correctly. Overall I would highly recommend the place, it was as it is put in the description.

Such a wonderful place this was my second stay. I went with my friend last August and returned with my husband as I enjoyed it so much. Beautiful yurt such a cosy feeling the Highland cows are wonderful, also the friendly dogs one of which enjoyed playing football with my husband. We had the choices of cooking in the fantastic kitchen facilities or ordering food locally which came right up and delivered at the yurt so had the best of both which made this a nice relaxing few days. Elisa and her family are super welcoming, they give you space, but also check in with you along the way to ensure your having a nice stay. lots of friendly animals around the farm, but they are a working farm so you need to be respectful. The grounds have lots of trails, nature beauty and a newly added pond that is CRYSTAL clear, and has a peaceful vibe. The owners have been working hard adding new additions like the new spa bathrooms that have 2 flushing toleits and 2 hot water indoor showers for those looking for less "roughing it" vibes. the spa area also has a new infrared sauna, 2 hot tubs, 2 cedar saunas and a lounge space. love that they kept the ruins of the building to make the spa it's own enclosed nook of peace and calm. Overall a wonderful experience. I had visited the farm back in 2020 and 2022, and it is so great to see how it's grown and changed. The yurts are also well kept, spacious and clean. everything you need is there, we just bring camping dishes and such. LOVED ❤

We have been back to this place numerous times. The host is friendly and helpful. The yurt is perfect for me and my family. Cannot wait to go back.

An absolutely amazing place to stay! The Yurt was super nice and clean. The outside was exactly what we were looking for. A quiet, secluded getaway in the forest of the north. Plenty of room away from the road to let the dogs roam as well! My favorite part was the outdoor swing! if you're looking for the best home base while in the UP, you cant go wrong with this place. From cooking food on the campfire, to being in a great location for sight seeing, it has everything you could ask for. Even an outhouse with a view! A big THANK YOU to the hosts for maintaining and sharing such a wonderful place.

Fran was an exceptional host, and the yurt was such a fun way to ring in the New Year. I won't mince words: it was chilly, but the buddy heater was a welcome amenity, and the bed was beyond comfy and piled high with blankets. The bathhouse 250 steps away was terrific, but by far and away my favorite perk was the en suite--the composting toilet around the corner on the deck, something I didn't know about until I arrived! Fran thinks of everything, and, given I was starving on arrival, the freshly baked bread was such a welcome treat. If you're a beer drinker, don't miss Blue Mountain Barrel House & Smokin' Barrel Restaurant. Thank you, Fran!

Jeff and Jane are the warmest hosts I have ever met. They go above and beyond to ensure their guests are comfortable and well-fed. We were there for five nights to celebrate a special occasion, and Jeff and Jane made our trip all the more memorable with a surprise and yummy cake, delicious pizzas and some good bubbly wine for an evening celebration. We also had our dog with us, who was on his first vacation, and he enjoyed staying in the yurt and was pampered by the hosts. Port Rexton is a quaint village with easy access to so many trails and great views of the Ocean that the peninsula has to offer, and staying at Yurtopia made it all very special. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet holiday, especially if you have a pet. Don’t forget to enjoy Jeff’s mouthwatering pizzas!

If you are looking for a cozy getaway to the woods that keeps you close to both cities and beautiful wild areas, this is it. The walk back to the yurt is private and beautiful -- between the fall foliage, the little mushrooms growing along the path, and all the chipmunks and squirrels there to greet you, it's something out of a storybook. The place is lit up well at night, with very cozy lighting inside as well! The woodstove was enough to keep me warm, even as a person now accustomed to Florida weather, and there were SO MANY blankets made available just in case. It was so lovely to lay in bed at night and watch the stars through the top of the yurt and listen to the acorns fall and roll down the sides - I've never slept more deeply at an Airbnb. The bathroom is outside, but the motion lights at night made it easy to go about my business. If you're a camper, it will feel like a luxurious little setup! I couldn't recommend it enough. Such a wonderful place to take a breather!

Such a lovely place to come and get away from it all, chickens and geese freely roaming (complete with eggs in the morning!) Short drive from some fabulous beaches and walks with dogs. Would definitely stay again but maybe for two nights to really make the most of the relaxing environment

We stayed in the little yurt after visiting Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. We look for unique Airbnbs, and this certainly was that. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the fenced in grass spaces for our dogs, along with the friendly resident animals. The directions and check in instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. We enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful easy getaway. The yurt was really comfortable and private, and the view was tranquil.

This was our second time staying at Joanne’s yurts. Joanne and her husband are super helpful, and I love staying here in the colder months because of the variety of outdoor activities in the area. The yurts are very cozy and comfortable! Excellent winter glamping experience.
