I absolutely loved staying in this cottage. A perfect spot if you want to be in nature but close to the city and shops. We loved kayaking on the river. I highly recommend this place. I will be back. Beautiful and quiet too 😊

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Teresa and Peter’s place. Having a second bedroom for our 15 month old to sleep in worked out well. Teresa had kindly placed some breakfast items in the fridge for us and Denver the dog would constantly drop fresh avocados outside our door. The tree-lined driveway ushers you up a hill to the main house and detached apartment that has magnificent views over the countryside towards the Kaimai Ranges from the lounge and main bedroom . The large wooden deck is a great place to relax and take in the scenery after a long drive. Matamata has a good choice of restaurants just 5 mins away. I highly recommend this AirBnB. It is clean, modern, well appointed and the hosts are very friendly and accommodating.

Sharlene’s place was well equipped and very clean. Upon checkin there was some milk, cereal, bread and spreads which was greatly appreciated. All the beds are comfortable and there’s a very functional kitchen. Sharlene herself as a host is also very kind even helping us get on top of our pile of washing when there was wet weather. I will mention for other travellers that the window coverings keep out very minimal light so if you’re a light sleeper or will be adjusting to new timezones an eye mask would be good. We had portable black out blinds with us but not enough for both bedrooms. Would definitely stay here again

La "cabane" au fond du jardin est parfaite pour séjourner à Tauranga. il ne manque rien, il y a même une piscine. La maison est proche du Mt Maunganui et de la très belle plage. Tout était parfait, nous recommandons fortement cette belle adresse.

The cottage was a nice stay for the night as we were passing through. It offered everything we needed and Rochelle was very helpful and prompt with instructions. Would recommend if staying in the area.

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our daughter’s first birthday. The place was perfect for our little family of four & our kids loved the friendly pets that visited every now & then. Loved that the town, shops & beach were all super close. The place itself was cosy & clean, we really felt like at home. Awesome hosts & an even better airbnb. 5 stars all round 🙂

We felt at home from the start. The studio has everything that you need for a short stay and is beautifully decorated. It‘s cosy and practical at the same time. Even though there‘s no stove, you can easily prepare a nice breakfast (good coffee machine and a toaster) or other light meals. Kelly and Ashley even had some local recommendations like the Gastropub around the corner and the hot pools, which were great. Communication was very easy and friendly.

We had an amazing stay! The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — incredibly kind, caring, amazing baker! and accommodating, especially when my partner unexpectedly got sick and had to leave early. Communication was super easy from start to finish. The location itself is absolutely stunning, peaceful, and totally private — perfect for a romantic getaway. We’re already looking forward to coming back! this is a must stay in our books and recommend it to anyone wanting a break from life.

This place is a hidden gem in the area, and the host is incredibly friendly. After a long journey, we both felt right at home. The surroundings are private and peaceful, and the hospitality from the host was truly amazing. I highly recommend this place!

Our stay at Tahi Totara was an absolutely wonderful experience. Suzie and Murray were delightful and welcoming hosts and we were delighted to have the chance to enjoy some time in their little piece of paradise. Highly recommended 👌

I had a lovely stay at Katherine’s Airbnb. The one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment was exceptionally clean and comfortable, with a private entrance. While the temporary scaffolding over the entrance made access a little tricky, it didn’t affect my stay. The fully equipped modern kitchen was a standout feature, making it easy to prepare everyday meals. The apartment also offered a great space for family to visit and relax, which made my stay an even more enjoyable experience. There was plenty of room - in a comfortable setting - to sit, chat, and host family meals - several times during my visit! Unfortunately, traffic noise during the day was noticeable and especially distracting when sitting outside. Katherine was an excellent host, going above and beyond by allowing me to use her private laundry room. Overall, a great place to stay—clean, well-equipped, and with a welcoming host. I would definitely recommend it!

3rd time back and I'll keep returning when I need to travel - just delightful. Just me for work, far enough out of Tauranga to be quiet, but not too far. Very comfortable and Cricket (puppy) always swings by, but respectfully outside, in the hope of a snack!

We enjoyed staying at Jennifer’s and Graeme’s Bnb. The space is a good size and it’s in a separate building that looks out towards a lush garden. The building is in the back of the lot so it’s pretty quiet. Jennifer was very welcoming and even washed a load of clothes for us. ☺️ I enjoyed hearing Graeme’s stories about gold and silver mining in the area. We recommend this Bnb.

Anne's place was driveable distance to the beach and shops. The house was what we needed for our short time away to relax.

We had such a wonderful stay here! The apartment and hot tub were incredibly private and peaceful surrounded by beautiful greenery. Everything inside was spotless and comfortable, the place had lots of amenities. Heather is an exceptional host - super friendly and generous leaving treats for our arrival which was a very lovely touch! Thanks for a brilliant stay ☺️

Had an amazing time at the fat fish over the Easter weeekend. We sadly didn’t get the full Waihi Beach experience as it bucketed down with rain most of our stay until the very last day (of course 😅) but still enjoyed the beautiful pristine accomodation. Jeanette was a star the whole time, very attentive, friendly and accomodating to all our needs. Recommend to anyone contemplating booking this listing, I know my husband and I will definitely be coming back again, hopefully in beach exploring weather. Oh my gosh the outside bath was definitely a highlight for me, even with the rain hitting my face constantly it created a tropical feel. The whole place was stunning, cute, and intimate. There’s a market every Sunday I believe, that we were lucky enough to catch, and it’s not too far from location. It isn’t a very large market but they have a lot of cute trinkets and good food, who doesn’t love a market? If you’re looking for a place in Waihi Beach to stay then this is your spot. A 10!
