Garden Hill Cottage, Maungatapere

Away from the hustle bustle, enjoy this quiet serene spot. The property is well off the highway and the neighbouring orchards screen us from traffic noise. The cottage is nestled between small avocado and mixed fruit orchards, with a view out to the small pond and post’n’rail fenced paddocks beyond. Last minute bookings are usually no problem - we respond quickly. Relax with the family (with up to 3 children) in this organic permaculture lifestyle block with animals that love being fed.

Situated in the grounds of Kauri Villas, and adjoining Kohinui Studio. with shared access to the swimming pool and heated spa with breathtaking views overlooking Parua Bay, the Whangarei harbour and unspoiled countryside. NZ native bush walk with waterfall. Enjoy our games room, with billiard table, table tennis & fooseball.

With sea and natural views, on the hill above the Taiharuru River, our private studio is an ideal place to rest and restore. There is access to a large property with sun, fruit trees, native bush, birds, a salt water pool, and a natural estuary at the end of the driveway (kayak and paddle board available). There is an outdoor private outdoor table and bbq. A 2 minute drive to Pataua South and Frogtown beaches. It is 10 minutes to Parua Bay town, with cafe and 4 square for provisions.

Deloraine Cottage boasts 3 king bedrooms, fully self-contained kitchen, dining for 6, laundry facilities and flat screen TV. All the modern comforts have been catered for.

The Yurt Wai Rua

The Yurt at Wai Rua, west of Whangarei, is approximately 20 minutes drive from Kamo via Pipiwai Road. It is set in a beautiful tranquil farmland area beside a small lake, which is surrounded by native trees. Watch the native birds, ducks and pukekos whilst sitting on the deck. It has amazing rural views, including massive volcanic rocks. The yurt has a separate kitchen, with a small fridge and gas oven and 2hob burners. The bathroom has a hot water shower and composting toilet.
