Great little cottage for a weekend trip. Perfect for a couple and nice if you have a dog with a fenced in yard. Great location getting to the Blue Ridge Pkwy or Boone. One thing I will say it sits right on hwy 421, but you don’t hear the traffic at all when inside the house.

Incredible host, the most pet friendly location I have ever been. Fenced in yard the deck could also be closed. Complementary snacks, dog bowls, more towels than a target, and an incredibly comfortable bed.

Went for a group trip with friends and were hoping to see snow - and we did! It was a beautiful area, although those of us who drove in at night had a harder time finding the location than those of us who drove during the day. It is a switchback entrance but once you find it, it is easy to spot, and there are plenty of spots to turn around should you miss the entrance. We stayed warm throughout our trip and enjoyed local hiking and visiting local stores. Ashe County Cheese was certainly a highlight for a lot of us. We didn't have any issues, though there was a slight hiccup after the snow, and host was very responsive and we got the matter resolved quickly. Liked it so much we might return with our family next time!

We recently stayed at the Stargazer Airbnb while we were in town for MerleFest and visiting family, and it was absolutely perfect. The property is stunning — a beautiful, peaceful setting that felt like a true escape. The cottage itself was cozy, spotless, and had so many thoughtful touches, like towels for the hot tub, plush robes, and even a bottle of wine waiting for us. There were even supplies ready for making s'mores! The hot tub was a wonderful bonus, and we loved relaxing under the stars. The hosts were fantastic communicators and so accommodating throughout our stay. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Benjamin and Sommer for an amazing weekend!

We had a fantastic stay at this mountain house! The location by the river was stunning, and the privacy made it the perfect escape. The house was fully equipped with all the amenities we needed, and there was plenty of space for our family to relax and enjoy. It was also great for the kids and our pets – they loved the open space and outdoor areas. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable getaway!

We enjoyed our stay here. Perfect for a family of 4 and 2 grandparents. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. My only complaint was there were 6 of us and only 5 towels. We purchased another towel and all was fine. Overall a great experience and we would stay here again.

We had a short but great visit! The house was just as described. Everything we needed was there! Loved the scenery, and the cows were an added bonus! My daughter loved the pirate ship play area. We hope to be back again this fall!

My husband and I rented the property for long term. We were moving to Ashe County and stayed at the property while our property was getting ready to move on. Wendy was very accommodating to our needs. She answered any question or concerns we had in a timely manner. Wendy went above and beyond for us. The property is very nice and quiet with lots of different beautiful views. We made friends with the cows in the pasture across from us. There are 3 other properties and all the tenants that stayed in them were so super nice. Wendy really made our stay nice and comfortable

Loved our stay at the 2BR cottage! Everything was very clean and seemed brand new. We felt right at home as soon as we walked in the door. Most incredible beds. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Chad communicated regularly and provided a helpful guidebook and clear instructions on check/in and general use of the cottage. We spent a few hours at the winery while they had live music and a food truck and it was such a fun atmosphere. Chad and Crista are both very welcoming and made our stay perfect. We could not have asked for a better weekend!

Boho Cottage was perfectly described and exactly what my wife and I needed. We were able to bring our small Scottish Terrier “Nessie” with us. The cottage is right next to the Mt. Jefferson State Park with lots of beautiful hiking opportunities. The deck is where we spent a lot of time and it offers amazing sunset views. Amenities were just right and the size was comfortable for 2 people. Monica is an amazing host. Even on Easter she was responsive to a question I had about checkout. She also provided great information about local businesses to visit. We are already planning our next stay.

Chad & Crista's place is a perfect location to forget about the rest of the world. It is surrounded by nature, close proximity to vineyards, hiking, etc., and both hosts are extremely friendly and welcoming. The home is absolutely adorable, equipped with everything you need (and many extras), and the back porch has the perfect view to enjoy morning coffee. Located on a vineyard, you can enjoy a glass of wine in the winery or sit around one of the many campfires (catching the sunset is a must). Would absolutely stay here again (and again) and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. If I could give 10 stars, I would. :)

Rick and Pat were amazing hosts. They have a beautiful home located near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Comfortable and welcoming space with all the essentials.

Carolina Wine Cottage was even better than we expected. It was very homey and comfortable but still elegant. We had everything we needed and the place was pristine. It was so peaceful and beautiful that we wished we had had more time to spend there. Watching the sunset from the back porch was glorious.

The house and the surrounding land was great. We really loved the three crosses across the road and all the cows. The house was very clean and quiet. Really close to a lot of fun things to do. When we are back this way again will definitely look Matt up.

Connie met us when we arrived and to welcome us. She explained everything we needed to know. Her cottage was a perfect place to rest after we traveled around each day. It was located in a peaceful, green space.

We loved our stay here! We only had one night as part of a road trip, but I wish we’d had longer. The cabin is absolutely darling and breakfast is delicious!!
