Dave is a very a welcoming and generous host. As soon as we got there we felt right at home. The projector was wonderful and the den was more beautiful in person. Definitely book the Bear Dens! It’s an awesome stay!

The listing is well named, it was a nice rustic place in the woods. Very functional, worked very well for 4 adults and 2 children. Clean, with labeled drawers and cupboards in the kitchen. Bathroom was very clean too. If we ever needed to return to the area we would stay here again. The only, very slight issue is that there were no curtains on the windows in the bedrooms. everything else worked quite well for us.

Perfect home for the 2 of us and our 2 dogs. The sunrises over the water were amazing! My husband enjoyed some quiet time kayaking and taking in the spectacular views of the changing colors of fall. Great neighborhood for dog walking and friendly neighbors. Jessica was a kind and attentive, responsive host.

Evelyn is Super friendly and super helpful. She not only provided a room for my daughter to stay in but also provided her with an unforgettable Thanksgiving experience together with her family. Thank you so much!

We had a family gathering at Emma's place (Tranquil Forest Haven). Everyone loved it. The house is architecturally unusual in a good way, with an enormous amount of common area for a 4-bedroom home. The kitchen is large enough for several cooks to be working at once and there are two large and one smaller common areas that flow together. The living/dining room has a cathedral ceiling in the sitting area and a lower, flat ceiling in the dining area. The acoustics were great. Even with multiple conversations going everyone could hear each other without shouting. So many homes and other gathering places have bad acoustics for gatherings, so this was a welcome relief from that problem, especially appreciated by the many people in our family who are older, with hearing loss. We had a nice walk around the nearby town pond, next to the school . It is wooded and tranquil, with geese. (The beach is closed due to bacteria. ) We enjoyed the fire in the wood stove.

We came as a group of friends with a baby to stay at Blake and Tracy's house, and we had a great stay. They were very communicative and accommodated all our requests to ensure our stay was excellent. They asked in advance if it would be okay for their child to stay in his room inside the house, and we agreed. We didn’t see him at all during our stay, and it didn’t disturb us in the slightest. The fact that Blake and Tracy live right next door was convenient, as they were readily available for anything we needed, but we never felt their presence. We will definitely come back!

We wanted a unique stay not too far from home for a brief break in our lackluster winter routine. Ken's farm certainly filled the bill. The best description we can come up with for the house is that it is part antique store, part natural history museum, part collectibles emporium, part library, and part very cozy home! We have never stayed in such an interesting, spacious, comfortable, and well-stocked Airbnb before. Ken is a very personable host who gave us a tour of the home he obviously loves after first having helped us lug our belongings from the truck. He answered questions promptly, kept the walkways clear of snow and ice, gave us fresh eggs from his chickens for breakfast, and had started a welcoming fire in one of the two fireplaces just prior to our arrival. If you are looking for a quiet country setting with a few pleasant surprises, Kenneth's farm is the place to be!

I've stayed at Mary and Frank's place twice already and just booked my third stay. I love staying here when I'm in Boston. Some highlights are 1) the fully stocked kitchen -- I like to cook when I travel and find everything I need. The dining table and chairs are so comfortable (seats 4) and I just love the morning light! Honestly, I think the place is even prettier than the photos show. 2) The beautiful living spaces face out onto woods--from the many windows in the kitchen and also the french doors in the living room, all you see is nature. Just lovely, very peaceful. 3) The fireplace! Being from a warmer part of the world, I just love the gas fireplace, which I can turn on or off without a worry. It's lovely to set my mug on the stone hearth to warm up as I prepare my morning coffee, and I just love spending time cozying there with a book at night. 4) Convenience and quiet all in one: the house is near a main highway connecting to Boston, but the neighborhood is very quiet!

As my first ABnB, now I’m spoiled. My wife and I had a wonderful experience and any other future ABnB will have a high bar to reach. When we are visiting the area, this ABnB will be our first choice. Clean, private and a great host made for an out of this world experience. Felt like home away from home.

My stay was AMAZING! You can really see and feel how the host took time to make the home cozy and beautifully detailed. It was mind blowing to see how every part of the home was utilized without feeling cramped or cluttered. Definitely a great place for friends to come together. I was shocked to see how well the entire home was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The host provided superb comfort and convenience. Pictures do no justice for this zen home, you have to experience it in person. If you’re looking for a tranquil and beautiful place to visit; LOOK NO FURTHER!

My wife and I absolutely loved this cottage. It far exceeded our expectations. I felt so much at home, I almost went out and picked up the mail!There were so many supplies in the kitchen, a thoughtfully laid out living room and bedroom, a heavenly soaking tub in the bathroom, and serene surroundings. Everything was thought of from tasteful decor to plenty of firewood for the wood-burning fireplace and even an unopened toothbrush and other toiletries in the bathroom (including 2-ply!! ) It raised my standard for future rentals. We are lucky enough to travel several times a year. When we do, we almost exclusively stay at Airbnb‘s. This one was by far the most comfortable we’ve stayed at in many years. We stayed during fall and were able to take advantage of the fire pit. There was plenty of kindling to gather nearby and the fire under the stars was very peaceful. It was starting to get chilly during our stay and the log space heater was a very nice touch. Guest book includes a number of helpful recommendations for restaurants and activities. A lot of small extra touches made our stay very comfortable. We would recommend for anyone wanting a more rural feel away from the other tourists while exploring mystic.

We had a wonderful stay!! The lock was stuck upon check-in but the host called us (it was the middle of the night) and walked us through getting it open. She was so friendly and helpful! The place itself was perfect. Great kitchen, sleeping areas, clean and wonderfully decorated. Even with the lock issue, this was a 5 star stay and we have absolutely no complaints. We had 3 people and we felt like we had plenty of room. It’s also right down the street from the Mohegan Sun!!! So perfect place to stay if you want to visit the resort. You can’t get a better location. Also very quiet area.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Ada was extremely responsive and friendly in her communication. The unit was exactly as described. There were so many nice and thoughtful touches - complimentary coffee/tea, popcorn, water, basket of games/books. We came to Mohegan Sun for an overnight and didn’t want to stay at the hotel. This place was a quick Uber ride back and forth. Highly recommend!

My wife and I were looking for a nice quiet and peaceful spot near Mohegan, and this was by and far the best space to be in for a short holiday. Very relaxing and full of light. Loved!

We got married at a venue about 15 minutes away so we stayed here with our bridal party and the size was perfect. Everyone slept comfortably, we still had plenty of space. The neighborhood is quiet and the location is still close enough for us to enjoy exploring Sturbridge. Michael was responsive and honest with any question I asked!

I rented this home to accommodate my family of 6 over Christmas. Beautiful home and very comfortable beds, high quality linens and lots of space. I could tell the house was very well set up for summer guests too with plenty of outdoor gathering areas.

This place was clean, had everything we needed, and was in a great location. Would recommend.

My husband and I stayed at Nicole's place with another couple for two nights. Nicole left us a thoughtful welcome sign and treats upon check in, which we appreciated. The place is in a very well maintained condo complex with multiple pools and beautiful grounds. The condo itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything a hotel might have (hair dryers, shampoo, soap, etc.) and more. We loved the little balcony that overlooked a pond with a fountain, ducks, and songbirds. Location-wise, it's perfect! Less than a 10-minute drive to Mohegan Sun, and lots of places to eat nearby. We had a great brunch at Herb's, a local landmark diner. We would definitely choose Nicole's place if we return to the Norwich area!

The hostess was very helpful and very responsive. The condo was as described and lovely for our family reunion. It was very clean, very comfortable and so welcoming. We were just a couple of minutes away from the Mohegan Sun casino. The area is beautiful. Highly recommend!
