This was a perfect two night getaway with our family. The house is very clean. The views are beautiful. There are lots of things to do in the area not far from the house. We enjoyed taking the short path to the brewery for a couple of meals. The food is great! We sat by the fire and soaked in the hot tub. Martha’s instructions were very easy to follow to check in and checkout. She was very responsive. We appreciate that she also offered plenty of suggestions for things to do in the area. We had the absolute best time staying here. We had two families staying together, 10 total. With more than enough space! The location was perfect. The space was clean and cozy. We had the best time and made some amazing memories with our friends. Also we slept at night on the third floor with a window opened and it was so quiet outside! Thank you for opening your home to us!

This place was really beautiful and worked perfectly for our group of 10 for a cabin weekend. The house is super spacious, with lots of privacy, especially on the top floor. The large windows looking out on mountain views made the place feel luxurious and super peaceful. Location is great for taking advantage of the area. The hot tub was a big hit, as was the indoor fireplace. The kitchen was really well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc. There were plenty of towels, linens, and blankets. Hosts Zee and Sarah were extremely communicative in the weeks/days leading up to our stay, always responding quickly. They were professional and helpful and we felt very well taken care of. There were a few items/spaces in the house that could use some updates/TLC, which we made hosts aware of and they were very responsive. It is also worth noting that there is no phone service up at the cabin until you get on wifi. Thank you Zee and Sarah! We would definitely stay here again.

Chris's house looked exactly like photos. The area is beautiful with lots of hiking trails and breweries and wineries nearby. The location felt very safe. Everything was exceptionally clean and the house was well stocked with everything we needed. Highly recommend.

We greatly enjoyed our stay and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for a girl’s weekend. The hot tub was wonderful at night with the hanging lights above. The beds were super comfortable and the house had plenty of space. Everything was super clean, too!

Not only was the house and property fantastic, but the responsiveness and support from the hosts before/during/after was top notch. Everything went smooth with the entire stay, and we'd highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay at Sundown Sanctuary in Wintergreen! It was the perfect spot for our two families, with plenty of space for all the kids to spread out and have fun. The layout was super family-friendly, and everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked. The backyard was definitely a highlight—we spent so much time out there! The kids especially loved the hot tub and outdoor TV, which kept them entertained while the adults relaxed and enjoyed the space. From morning coffee on the patio to the beautiful fire pit, it really added something special to our trip. The host was also fantastic—great communication from start to finish, which made everything easy and stress-free. Highly recommend Sundown Sanctuary for anyone traveling with a big group or multiple families—it’s a gem!

My family had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful house. It was a perfect fit for us. There was plenty of room for everyone and we had a great time playing cards in the evening and watching movies. My 4 and 2 year old grandsons looked forward to going to bed at night so they could take a bath in the jacuzzi tub. The house had everything you could possibly want. The hot tub was a hit with my grown children. We look forward to returning in the future.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the house. The views were beautiful, the house is amazing and the hot tub is a delight. 10/10 would recommend. Joey is very proactive and quick at responding.

We have become regular visitors to Roudy’s Retreat; it’s something we look forward to when planning vacation time every year. The cabin is miles above what we could ask for, and our Jaclyn is always so helpful leading up to and during our stay. The house is very spacious and offers so many amenities—including a fire pit and hot tub and plenty of toys and games to keep our kids busy. We can relax on the deck with our coffee and enjoy the peaceful mountain mornings. And it’s located within an hour at most to a number of great attractions, like Crabtree Falls (only 15 minutes), a fishing pond, Natural Bridge and Lexington. My family and I highly recommend giving this place and try, and we look forward to returning again!

The view was incredible, every morning seeing the sunset over the mountains was breathtaking. The stay was great, the local market was awesome, the overlooks were so beautiful. The host was fantastic and extremely responsive. I would like to recommend that if you want an amazing experience in the mountains I advise you to make a trip and see this amazing property. You will absolutely fall in love with it as we did.

The Co-host Amy was very proactive, responded quickly and helped to make sure we had a great stay! The house is super nice, the bedrooms were huge, besides the bunk room- it is a tiny space. We had 13 adults but still made it work! Due to the bears and laws, there is no outside trash cans but the dumpster was just up the road. The house had everything we needed from cleaning supplies, to coffee bar. I loved that there was a gas station, market and a few food options inside of the neighborhood/resort. I would recommend this house for a large group getaway! We didn’t have the weather we expected but the views were amazing. Thanks Chris and Amy!

The house had an amazing vibe, great views pool table and even a cool record player. Good sitting areas and just overall amazing! Host was even better, amazing & kind!

Great place in Wintergreen! We stayed in Spring and everything was quiet and the foliage was vibrant. Our family went hiking and exploring everyday, and enjoyed the food and drink down in the valley. There is a nice trail in Wintergreen if you can find the overlook off Old Appalachian trail. Hot tub was a plus for sure! Enjoyed the trails in the neighborhood and watching the golfers. All the amenities you could ask for and a clean tidy home!

This cabin was perfect for a secluded weekend getaway. Right up the road from a ton of breweries, vineyards and restaurants, the amenities were fantastic (wood burning stove, comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, heated bathroom floor, hot tub) and the Mountain View’s were beautiful. We hope to return for another visit asap.
