The grounds here are beautiful and the house is very charming. It's isolated, so bring everything you need and take advantage of the huge kitchen!

SO. MUCH. FUN. If you ever thought staying on a farm might be fun, this is perfect! The accommodations are clean, quiet and comfy and the breakfast is amazing. We took a short hike on the farm's hill and had about 30 goats follow us up the trail and back down, which was an amazing and delightful experience that brought huge smiles to our faces! Everyone on the farm was kind and so were all the animals! We'd totally stay again!!

Enjoyed our stay! The kitchen was well-stocked, the property was beautiful. The upstairs bedroom was very spacious, so if you’re traveling with a group, everyone will have room for their luggage. She provided delicious farm-fresh eggs for breakfast.

Cindy greeted us warmly as soon as we arrived and made us feel at home. We walked around the farm a bit and enjoyed their animals. Cindy told us about several nearby places to visit as well as local restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Grandad Bluff (one of the highlights of our trip)- it had stunning views and we wouldn't have known about it if it weren't for Cindy telling us. This is a working farm with a very old farmhouse, so the doors stick and don't always close tightly, but that added to the charm and we felt very safe there. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and filling - a great way to end our stay. We would recommend this place and think it would be really fun for families with young children.

This was exactly what we hoped it would be and the perfect spot for our family gathering. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Was great! Sally was a wonderful host. Had a problem with the key working and she responded quickly and got the problem taken care of. Great place to stay! Nice and quiet at the end of the road!

We had a wonderful weekend. We hosted our son and new daughter-in-law’s rehearsal dinner at the barn Friday night. It was the perfect setting. The bride and her bridesmaids stayed Friday night and got ready for the wedding at the barn. They all had the best time! Your place is absolutely beautiful! Everyone loved it!!

I absolutely recommend this place to anyone!!! It was even more beautiful in person. The place was so relaxing, the scenery was beautiful with the tall ceilings and many windows. The decor of the home was very beautiful as well! My daughter and I came here for my birthday and loved it!! The people in town are so friendly, the shops were great, there is a lot to do just outside of town as well. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer months to enjoy the property even more!

We booked our stay for a cousin reunion and this place was everything we could have asked for and more.. it looked way more beautiful in person than it did in the photos. We did stay with 3 toddlers who really enjoyed the chickens, the staff on site were nice enough to let us into the barn and the kids enjoyed looking at the animals and even petting them. The house was well stocked and had an abundance of sheets, towel, toilet paper, kitchen towels, detergent.. etc. the kitchen was amazing and fully equipped. we were beyond impressed and were really sad to leave.. looking forward to come back and stay again there soon

Samantha was a great host. Very responsive and helpful. The garage space was bigger than expected! I was able to fit my 2 place enclosed snowmobile trailer and truck in every night with ease. The best part was the bar/lounge room with the projector and drop down screen to watch TV on.

This is our 3rd stay and we'll keep coming back! We like everything the house and location have to offer. We had some warmer weather during our visit so it nice to enjoy the outside patio & watch the birds and squirrels play. Almost every night, the deer came to graze in the backyard which was wonderful to see.

Great property, great location, beautiful barn and surrounding views next to Blue Mounds State Park. Perfect for family occasions. Kitchen and bar perfect for entertaining. Communication with owners was good. Thanks!

This was our 2nd trip to The Barn. We absolutely love this place. From all the mounts to all the wood that makes this place very unique. The awesome boat bar as well! Kate is a wonderful and quick to respond to any questions. Will be back again highly recommended 😊

The home was very inviting and felt like home as soon as we walked in. Had some nice welcome touches when we arrived. I am not going to say what they were, so I don't ruin the surprise! If you are looking for a relaxing home for a long weekend with plenty of room, this would be the place!

Lovely, unique home with super lakeside views. Personal touches throughout. Very quiet neighborhood, great outdoor living areas. Host was very communicative and everything in the house was well labeled with clear instructions. Great proximity to the dells!

Absolutely perfect place to stay for a game or a visit to Wisconsin. A hidden gem! The pictures don’t do it justice, and you couldn’t have a nicer host. Can’t wait to go back next year and have more of the delicious apple cider.

My father and I stayed there with my dog. The property was very clean, convenient to all that we were doing and very quiet and comfortable. The amount of relaxing that occurred while actually staying at this beautifully restored barn, beyond appreciative. Even more exploring to do on the properties and surrounding towns. The perfect little trip to escape our busy life. Can’t wait to come back!

The Carriage House is a cozy, welcoming space in an awesome location. We loved being able to walk to the beach, coffee shops, museums, and more. We appreciated all the thoughtful touches like plenty of lamps, blankets, and charging cords, and the wine and drink chips on arrival were so generous. The well-stocked kitchen had all the equipment we needed to make a few meals. The place was just the right size for our group of four adults, two kids, and a dog. Some of the furniture is on the shabby-chic end of things but we all found comfortable spots.

Robert’s Barnhaus was perfect for our three days in Mount Horeb. Our vacation plans took us to many surrounding attractions such as House on the Rock, Field of Dreams, Cave of the Mounds, and Madison which were all easily accessible while staying on the quiet peaceful confines of the farm. The accommodations and space allowed my family to stretch out after busy days and have a comfortable place to relax. Our evenings making dinner or watching the sunset over the fields or cooking s’mores over the fire pit were the exclamation point we all wanted before we fell asleep in the comfortable beds. We hope to return to Wisconsin very soon and know we have a home away from home.

Thank you Jeffrey. We had a wonderful New Years on the property. The weather was actually unusually warm for January. We were able to use the barn with comfort and also made amazing bonfires the whole time . We had a group of 16 with 8 being children . plenty of space . I'm sure this place is amazing in the summer we will try to return .
