had a beautiful weekend at this private cottage! could really see the thought that went into this listing- the hot tub being heated ready, robes being available for guests after the hottub, dog treats/bowls being left. The cottage was decorated lovely, the photos don't do this place justice. Tom was very responsive the whole time and was very accommodating allowing us to check out slightly later due to us getting picked up at 12 and the cottage not being booked that evening. will definitely stay again, hopefully in the summer when we can make better use of the beautifully finished outdoor area.

Had a wonderful stay in this cute, cosy annex. Particularly enjoyed the superb hot tub, the beautiful area of Bedale and all the little touches that Andrew provides. Lovely to get prosecco, biscuits, water and crisps on arrival, plus fresh milk in the fridge. Every last detail has been thought of...dishwasher tablets, crocs and robes for the hot tub, toiletries for the shower, teabags, and even flavoured syrup for your morning coffee! Thank you Andrew for hosting us, we had a great time.

We had a lovely stay in the milking parlour, check in was easy no messing around the cottage was ready for us when we arrived, the space is much bigger than it looks too. The cottage had everything you needed and a lovely open fire also, we used the shared hot tub every day it was absolutely lovely. The area is very remote which is lovely however for a week with 3 young children without having to drive 30 mins there wasn't lots to do but we were lucky with the weather so for us was brilliant if it was cold and rainy however I'm not sure it would've been the same. Whilst there we visited the roman fort, hadrians wall, walked into the local village, visited talking tarn country park where they had Mini golf and you can hire boats, we went to fairhill recreation ground that was a brilliant park for all ages and the dog loved it too! we also visited rowleys for raspberry picking which the kids even my 21 month old daughter absolutely loved! Loved this little place and will be back

What a beautiful cottage, spotless and so cosy We needed to ask a question and Esther was so lovely and helpful. She is held in very high regard within the village by everyone we met. Lovely hot tube which we can guarantee is emptied after each guest. Beautiful walk to river, straight out the gate. Beautiful places to visit within 30 mins Would highly recommend

We absolutely loved our stay at Hannah’s lovely home! Beautifully furnished and the hot tub kept our children entertained. Richmond itself is lovely and easily walkable. And the Yorkshire Dales are just a stones throw away. We would recommend to anyone and look forward to returning!

Jane met us on arrival, explained everything, then left us to chill out. The welcome pack and fresh flowers were a lovely gesture and were much appreciated. The cottage was spotless and felt extremely homely. We very much enjoyed the games room and enclosed hot tub. The garden areas were vast with lots of outdoor furniture. We enjoyed a lovely ice cream at Archers ice cream parlour (10 min walk) and experienced both pubs in nearby Heighington, very friendly, great food and service in the George & Dragon. Another recommendation is the nearby Raby castle, definitely a worthwhile visit. We definitely recommend staying at Ivy cottage and look forward to returning there again. Thank you Jane.

A beautiful and cosy home which was spotlessly clean and as described. It had a well equipped kitchen and the hot tub was ready to use on our arrival. I only wish we had stayed for longer!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Richmond. The place was beautifully presented, had a lovely hamper waiting for us on our arrival and we made great use of the hot tub. It’s so close to all the local amenities and the North Yorkshire countryside. We did have a little trouble with the keypad instructions (there were 2 codes given) but apart from that, everything was as expected. Parking on a bank holiday weekend was a little tricky but we were lucky with getting spaces just at the right time. We’d recommend to others wanting to either get out and explore or stay in a cosy and warm inviting house.

Trevor’s place was just what we expected. The setting was stunning with gorgeous views from all sides. A bonus was all the lambs playing in the fields. We have never stayed in such a well stocked place before. They had thought of everything!! We will definitely recommend it for anyone looking for peace and quiet in the heart of beautiful countryside.

We absolutely loved Caroline's place and were sad to leave after a couple of nights. A beautifully converted barn in the most beautiful part of North Yorkshire, with stunning grounds. First time to Great Ayton but hopefully not our last and, if we do return, Caroline's place would be the top of our accommodation list if available.

Great responsive host with early check in, lovely views with a ice cream parlour serving home made ice cream ,cakes and bakes -just a 5minute walk from the cottage. Great base for plenty of walks nearby. a clean peaceful and cosy cottage with Lovely scenic view from the cottage window, loved my stay everything was provided a home from home.

It was a lovely,well situated cottage. Extremely easy to get to the surrounding north York moors and the dales. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and had helpful information on the surrounding area. The cottage was very clean and homely. Pub within walking distance just across the bridge in the village. Would recommend walk from the beautiful Sutton bank national park which was only 10 minutes drive from the cottage followed by a lovely drink at the pub in hamby. Would definitely go back and stay there again.

We had a lovely stay at this very cute, quirky cottage in a good location, with all the supplies you’d need. There were lots of things to do nearby. Helen was incredibly attentive and always happy to help and nothing was too much trouble. We were even able to purchase some of her amazing artwork. 🤩 Would definitely recommend to others.

Had a great stay at Bridge Cottage, lovely location with lots of local walks. Clarey and Barney responded quickly to any questions we had both before and during our stay. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Abbey Hill Cottages to high above W. Hartlepool. They are well equipped.Beds are comfortable and so is sitting room furniture. Plenty of hot water. Good shower.Lots of space. I would stay again.

Another visit to this cottage and it was as good as ever. The cottage is very clean, welcoming and warm. The location is perfect - quiet but central and just a few minutes walk to the palace. We will be back soon!

Staying at Sue's cottage was amazing. The host was so kind and helpful. Picturesque area, cosy home with all amenities you could need. Access to a paddock for some off the lead fun at this time of the year was amazing for our dog Storm. We made use of it everyday of our stay. Definitely will be back we enjoyed our stay so much.

My partner and our dog had a lovely August bank holiday stay in Bridge Cottage. It was perfect for some walking, pub dinners and seeing the local sites. Mandy was super quick to respond with questions and the breakfast hamper we ordered was delicious! It kept us going all weekend. We’ll definitely come back to explore a bit more of the local area as it, and the Grange, are lovely.

You couldn't pick a better location to explore beautiful Richmond. Everything you need is within a few minutes walk of the house; restaurants, shops, the Richmond Castle, Easby Abbey, market place. The house was gorgeous and a great size, so handy with the dogs. The kitchen was fully kitted out which is a novelty in Airbnb's! Handy access to Netfkix, Youtube etc for the kids when they just wanted chance to relax for a while. Would love to go back, the house is 100% recommended 🤩

We absolutely loved our stay in this gorgeous cottage. It was even better than what we thought it would be. Exactly as described and as in the photos. It was so atmospheric with the fire, and every interior detail was so thoughtfully chosen. Every detail had been thought of. The location was perfect too, deep in the countryside yet walkable to gorgeous cafes and restaurants, and Helmsley, of course. Karen was so helpful and responsive! Will definitely be returning.
