We had a truly wonderful stay at Dena’s home. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The attention to detail and thoughtful gestures were remarkable. From the coffee and bedside waters to the abundance of toiletries, every aspect of our stay was well thought out. We were especially touched by the surprise Christmas gifts waiting under the tree, which added such a special and personal touch to our visit. The hospitality exceeded all expectations, and we highly recommend their home to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay. We look forward to visiting again in the future!

Governor's Green is beautiful and the units are roomy. The resort is centrally located and the host was proactive and helpful. The 'heated' outdoor pool was not heated, and the resort activities were limited for my group of teenagers. I had a slight problem trying to book a different property and ended up with this one instead, so be sure to check with the owner before booking to see if they have any availability because Airbnb doesn't accurately reflect what is available not just for this host but for all of the hosts. I have had similar instances with trying to book in this area. Everything else was seamless in terms of payment and stay, and the resort was beautiful and better than expected.

Maxx was a fantastic host, we had a large group and the space accommodated us well. There was a conflict with our first booking but Maxx went above and beyond to fix it and made our stay enjoyable.

Michael was a very generous host and made our stay very smooth. We appreciated the quality of all the amenities; the beds were extremely comfortable and I can't say enough about the kitchen setup. It was completely equipped and even had a spice cabinet, which made hosting our event problem-free since we were cooking meals from scratch for a large group. Highly recommend this beautiful home!

Great value for the location, amenities and accommodations. We booked a 3bedroom unit and it was two separate units connected by a door. worked out great for us with 3 large bathrooms and 3 full bathrooms (6 adults) The adult only Pool and Poolside bar were great! Very close to all attractions, dining, shopping and historic sites. We will gladly revisit and recommend this place. Thank you 😊

I've been renting on Airbnb for many years. I can honestly say this is the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. Everything was pristine including the pots and pans. The rental was stocked with everything you would need for an enjoyable vacation including a wonderful coffee station. There were so many movies, board games, kayaks and toys. The views of the bay were incredible! Every morning we would sit on the porch and watch the herons, geese and swans. A couple of times, I had a question and texted the owner. The response was immediate! The townspeople in Mathews County were equally friendly, polite and courteous. We used all the owners' recommendations. I could not say enough good things about this rental and town. We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back again.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful area. Would stay here again. Our layout was a bit different from the pictures, but it work great to have a space for the teens and another one for the adults. I would love to stay here again.
