Our place is a cozy hideaway on the second floor of a historic building in downtown Story City. It is a sweet little town to relax in that is an easy 15-minute drive to Ames and all its amenities. Cabin Cove By the River

Take a step back in time when you enter our little log cabin by the river. Built in 1949, this cabin is a replica of the log cabins built by the gold seekers of Alaska. Though modern in most aspects we have retained the native charm of unfinished wood, rough, hand-hewn logs and naked beams. The inspiration for the cabin was found by my great grandfather who spent time in Alaska working on the Alcan highway.

This is a completely renovated second story apartment in the town's beloved and iconic building, previously known as the former Tipton's Drug Store. The second story was previously vacant for decades and has been brought back to life with upscale finishes throughout. This one bedroom apartment features exposed brick, original hardwood exposed beams, and it overlooks our central main street district.
