Indulge in the crystal clear water of Fishery Creek just outside the front gate, pick some fruit off our citrus trees, enjoy a cold beverage at the Fishery Falls Hotel only 5 minutes walk or have a fire in our pit and have a coldy with us. Perfect spot for access to Babinda, Harveys Creek or Josephine Falls, Gordonvale Woolies 13min drive away. Please note we have two big friendly dogs that will come say hello, we also have two young kids but they won’t disturb you!

There is plenty to do here, including museums, bush walking and pack donkey treks, day trips to some real outback towns and other attractions, all only 1.5 hours' drive from Cairns International Airport. The property is entirely off-grid and is situated in a wildlife hotspot, with 100 acres of wet tropics rainforest connected to the World Heritage listed Maalan National Park. An ideal base for nature lovers to explore the Atherton Tableland, the bird list includes over 200 species, including Victoria's Riflebird, Blue-faced Parrot finch. Mammals include Tree kangaroos and Herbert River and Green Ringtail Possums.

Usnea, our Nature, Art and Accommodation Space, is situated on the Evelyn Tablelands, Tropical North Qld. Here a discrete self-contained one bedroom cottage in upland rainforest is surrounded by natural and established gardens, and at 1,160m provides a cool summer and cosy winter retreat. Uniquely the cottage integrates art within and outside. Contemplation, inspiration, privacy and comfort, are all to be experienced, along with exploring our forest and local environmental features.

Enjoy the solitude of this totally private self-contained apartment suited for singles and couples. A 5-minute rainforest walk to the centre of the village and 200 metres from the local golf course. The apartment is surrounded by beautiful gardens and has everything you should need for a very comfortable stay with dedicated under cover parking and access so you won't be getting wet if it is raining. Enjoy watching the butterflies and birds in the garden from the verandah. .

Unwind in our peaceful self-contained guesthouse, set on 3 acres of tranquil greenery. Wake to the sound of native birdsong, cool off in the pool, and enjoy the chance to spot red-legged pademelons, striped possums and all the other wildlife surrounding the guesthouse. The guesthouse is private, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring Cairns, Kuranda, Mareeba and the Atherton Tablelands.
