We loved our stay in this gorgeous cottage! Being able to sit outside on the verandah overlooking the most beautiful view, the sunrise and the sounds of nature including a stream, birds and frogs. We even ventured for a splash in the stream - chilly but lovely! It’s remote enough if you are looking for peace and solitude but also not far (about 20-30 mins) from a lot of the great Midlands meander attractions and restaurants.

Amazing stay! Lora was incredibly welcoming and made sure everything was perfect. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed. The location was ideal. The check-in process was smooth, and communication was excellent throughout our stay. We truly felt at home and would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We can’t wait to come back!”

Visiting from the UK, Angela the host gave clear directions & gate entry info. On arrival we were greeted with a thatch roof rondawel in the most serene & private surroundings. Felt so tranquil & peaceful looking out over her beautiful garden. The rondawel has a lovely rustic feel & was spotless with the little touches of tea, coffee, sugar & milk plus some delicious biscuits & a dram of Sherry! There’s a fire pit to enjoy looking up at the vast African sky & a swimming pool to enjoy by day. Vervet monkeys were busy foraging & little duikers came to visit. We stayed here 4 times during our visit we enjoyed it so much. Angela gave us tips on places to visit & eat & was so friendly during our stays. We will definitely be back!

We spent 3 days with our family at the Stables cottage and had a wonderful stay. The location is peaceful and the scenery is stunning. Kate also organised dinner on request and we thoroughly enjoyed it esp the vegetarian meal. Our 3 yr old was overjoyed to see horses, goats and dogs on the property. The staff ( Anna, Ruthie and Mbongeni) were super nice and made sure we had a comfortable stay.

We absolutely loved our stay! The hosts did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The location is wonderful and the pictures are very accurate! Highly recommend!

Large old family home with lots of character. Everything was perfect, clean and comfortable. We were a large group of parents visiting PMB for the Maritzburg College rugby festival. The house was 10min away in a safe neighbourhood. The house is comfortable to accommodate large groups. Housekeeping was an extra bonus. We would definitely visit again.

Great value for money. Genevieve was friendly and helpful. Accomodation serviced every day and was squeaky clean. Will definitely stay here again when I'm back in the area.

I booked Lauriane's place for family attending a wedding nearby. The cottage was beautiful. Perfect if you love peace and quiet and especially if you're a horse lover. Access to the nature reserve was also very easy. The accomodation is exactly as described in the listing. Thank you for a great stay. Mum especially enjoyed her morning coffee while watching the horses go by.
