Such a beautiful spot within walking distance of Federal village with its cafe, playground and boutique shops. Well stocked kitchen with all the basics plus breakfast items, great bbq, air fryer and coffee machine that was a wonderful addition. Bedroom fans were great and beds comfy. Had a bush walk through to the watering hole for a dip and walk along the stream, and an outside shower when we returned (10/10 recommend!). Saw a kangaroo at dusk down the back of the paddock which the kids absolutely loved... Make sure you get out and enjoy the surrounds as its so special. Would love to visit again!

This cottage is truly gorgeous! We had the best stay here and will definitely return. It is incredibly peaceful, beautifully designed and furnished, and with amazing touches like fresh sourdough, eggs and fruit. We loved it and can’t wait to come back.

We had a delightful family stay for just on a week. Had everything we needed and were even able to enjoy the pool and bbq as the weather was kind to us. A little far from Bangalore and the Byron beaches and shopping, however this was offset by the peace and quiet of the secluded and environmentally friendly location. Thank you Ann marie and apologies for a rushed departure with the torrential rain.

We loved our peaceful easter weekend at this beautiful property and animal sanctuary It was clean comfortable and had everything we needed, it was also wonderful being surrounded by the animals and knowing our stay supports the sanctuary . Both B and Finn were on hand and easy to communicate with if we needed anything however they had everything covered and have created a wonderful space to relax in nature, a getaway from the busy daily life We loved it , and didn’t want to leave so soon

Fantastic and well laid out property with plenty of space and in an amazing location. Really enjoyed having coffees and breakfast on the verandah. Great beach access in a quiet and peaceful location with plenty of wildlife around. Darren our host was super responsive, friendly and helpful. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again.

We absolutely loved our stay for the long weekend. The kids enjoyed the open space and meeting the cows. Tina and David were amazing hosts, very quick with responses and very accommodating. We can't wait to go back again.

Completely enchanted with our stay at this beautiful abode. The homestead is serene, cresting a hill overlooking rolling paddocks and capturing the cool coastal breeze. The decor is gorgeous, each room beautifully curated with additional welcoming touches of fresh flowers, herbs, chocolate and home made soap. We lazed by the pool, had long lunches under the pergola, dozed on shaded picnic blankets with views across the valley and had sundowners on the porch. We enjoyed dipping in to Bangalow and exploring freshwater holes down winding forest roads nearby, but largely we found ourselves wanting to stay at the house and enjoy all it has to offer!

We loved staying at Black Cockatoo! It was a great place to getaway as it was peaceful and private. Close enough to Byron to go in for a trip but not have to deal with how busy it gets. Looking forward to staying here again!

We had a fantastic stay at Jess’ beautiful property — truly a perfect getaway for families with kids! The property is peaceful, and incredibly spacious, giving the children plenty of room to run around and explore safely. There were so many activities to keep them entertained — from the outdoor pool to exploring nature and the fire pit was the biggest hit — it was hard to get them to come inside! The location is also perfect with only a 20min drive to Hosanna farm and 30 min drive to Coolangatta and the beaches. The house itself felt like a home away from home; fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. From a well-stocked kitchen to cozy bedrooms. Our host was incredibly helpful and responsive whenever we had a question, and made sure our stay was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to anyone looking for a family-friendly rural escape.

Kim was the best host and so welcoming. My partner and I stayed for a week and felt right at home. The barn was so clean, well equipped, gorgeous and very peaceful. Kim was lovely enough to leave us fresh flowers from the garden and respond to any questions. Absolutely recommend🌻

Absolutely beautiful location. Such a peaceful and relaxing stay. Our kids loved running around the property. The spring pool and outdoor bath were amazing and relaxing. Heaps of space for our family to relax and unwind in bliss. The viewing deck was an unexpected surprise - drinks at sunset were so special. Such a lovely property. We’ll be back again for sure!

If you’re looking for a peaceful and private spot, this is the one! This BnB looks just like the pictures and is well equipped with everything you need for seamless holiday. Stuart was also super responsive and helpful during our stay. It was so lovely being surrounded by the hills and the farm - highly recommend to anyone

We had a great week in the cottage. The cottage itself is cozy and has everything you need. The barbeque on the veranda was a big plus, and the views are beautiful. The location suited us perfectly, close to the towns yet still quiet on the countryside. No complaints at all, communication with Fay and Mishka was easy and helpful. Would highly recommend this cottage to people looking for a comfortable stay outside the towns.

Great location only a few minutes away for ‘The Farm’. The place was perfect for a little weekend away exploring. Really clean and tidy. Kylie was great providing additional information on hikes and walks around the area. Would highly recommend 👌

We had 2 of the most stunning days at The Bower. Sitting on the veranda overlooking the mountains and orchids was the perfect way to relax and unwind. We really enjoyed feeding the kookaburras and even saw some wallabies! Nat and Matt have created a beautiful space to spend time away from it all. We only wish we could stay for longer. The Bower deserves 6 stars!

Kelli's place is amazing!! My girlfriend and I had the most peaceful & relaxing stay. Beautifully designed and decorated which made the stay feel luxury yet rustic. It's super close to the cute little town of Newrybar and a 5-10 min drive to Bangalow for coffee & restaurants and 10-15 mins to all the beaches. The animals are cruising around the property and the birds are chirping up there with a view into the distance in most directions over the rolling hills. All the amenities you need to never even leave the house, including the pool, which came in handy for lazy days when we didnt want to leave so we just fired up the BBQ and laid in the sun. Highly recommend. We can't wait to come back again!

Beautiful location. Kids loved the pool area right alongside the cabins. So close to Byron without the hustle and a great run up the highway to Bluesfest or the other way to Bangalow. Peacefull grounds surrounded by horses and green fields.

This was a really nice home. Great for our family with two young kids. Communication was excellent and clear. We even forgot to ask about a cot but Darren got one sorted within hours of our arrival.

We had the absolute honour of getting married at Windaboo this weekend, and we honestly don't have enough words to express how grateful and overjoyed we are. Windaboo isn't just a place — it’s pure magic. The rolling hills, the gardens brimming with flowers, the beautiful peacocks wandering the property — it felt like stepping into a dream. Skye is one of the most incredible people we have ever met. She welcomed us into her home and heart with so much warmth, generosity, and care. In the days leading up to our wedding, she worked tirelessly to prepare the property — shovelling mud, putting up fairy lights, and ensuring every corner of Windaboo was perfect for our celebration. You could feel the love and pride she has for this beautiful sanctuary in every detail. The homes are gorgeous — private, thoughtfully decorated with beautiful touches that made them feel so special. Despite the privacy of the houses, Skye was always just a message away. We will treasure Windaboo forever!!

We loved our stay at Panorama House. It was perfect location for all the beauty of the hinterland and close to beaches. The house is great for two families with many benefits for everyone to have a great time. Pool was fab, horses a bonus. House is very comfortable with everything you need.

We HIGHLY recommend this fabulous home. Stunning setting and charming owners and caretakers. Heavenly setting with so many details and trimmings. We had to bolt in front of a cyclone 24 hours early and they even gave us a full refund for the cancelled day. A MUST visit place!

Well located and spacious hinterland cottage with great outdoor area overlooking the pool, sizable lounge, dining, well stocked kitchen and washing/ drying facilities. Good size for a couple with one child. Bed mattress was also decent quality (I can be quite picky on that one). Outdoors/ nature location so will likely be some mozzies and harmless household spiders about (plenty of repellant kindly provided).

We felt right at home and absolutely loved every bit of our stay, the location is just perfect, accessible , beautiful and serene, it was well equipped and so clean and so beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, would love to come back and stay for longer , Robin was really helpful and wonderful. 100 percent recommended, you will love it!!!
