Comfortable place, nice furnishings, great off street parking available for 2 cars

Thank you so much for the perfect getaway stay! Everything was as described and more. Perfect sleeps were had, kitchen was well equipped for all the late night creations, comfy reading spots throughout the home. Comfort levels were absolutely met! We enjoyed it immensely and can't wait to stay again soon.

This was our second visit, and we absolutely love this property. The view of the amazing St. Lawrence (a river that acts like an ocean) has many beautiful faces. On a rainy day, we took the short drive into Canada to explore the Thousand Islands Scenic Parkway. On a sunny day, we went to Wellesley Island State Park - walked the perimeter trail. We saw great flocks of swans and no people. Aside from those excursions, we relaxed here. We love the deck and the grassy private bank for sitting. We saw a few spectacular sunsets (one might think you’d be looking north across the river, but from this house, it’s a dead western vantage). The kitchen is great for cooking light meals and the bed is perfectly comfortable with lots of pillows. So many birds chorus the mornings and the occasional river freighter added curiosity. We HIGHLY recommend.

Richard was extremely communicative and check in was easy. He met us at the car and walked us to the cabin/explained how everything works. Beautiful place for a weekend getaway. The cabin was clean and cozy, scenery was spectacular. Although we spent most of our time outside by the fire, there are games and DVD’s in the cabin for rainy days. Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for some peace and quiet. We would absolutely stay again!

This place js a gem! If you like history and appreciate a place with character, make the trip to Felt’s Mills. We fell in love with the house and its many charms. As soon as we stepped into the garage (the former stables), we were transported to another time. We marvelled at the enormous kitchen with the large marble fireplace, and our imaginations took flight as we sat in the dining room with its giant wooden doors and wide, old-fashioned windowsills. We slept really well and had everything we needed. The place was spotless and very comfortable. James even gave us a tour of the unfinished parts and was a wonderful guide and host. Had an amazing stay at Joan’s place! Exactly what we were looking for. The place is private and relaxing, and the fairy lights/candles around the house made it super cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed the horses and watching the deer in the field. Went for a walk around the property and it is absolutely gorgeous, with lots of wildlife to be seen. Joan went out of her way to accommodate us, she is a great host!
