Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

Laneway hideaway

Our architect designed, garden roof cabin was built in 2020 to take in views across they valley to knocklofty. North facing the sun warms this house with the passive solar design maintaining a steady temperature. To complement this there is a wood fire for grey days and a sliding door and bifold windows for hot ones. Ply lining and exposed rafters give the house a cabin feel creating a retreat feeling. Different outdoor spaces provide great options to soak in the sun and neighbourhood.

3 bedroom sandstone home built in the 1830s. Wander up the garden steps to find thick sandstone walls, Georgian windows, pressed tin ceiling and polished wooden floors. Gas heating for cosy winters. Bathroom with bath and seperate shower. Quality stylish furnishings have been used throughout. 1 bedroom downstairs, 2 upstairs attic bedrooms are interconnecting. The garden is established and fenced for pets to stay. A short stroll to the cafes, hikes/walks and quaint shops of south Hobart.

Jan's Studio has a cosy queen sized bed, and a small lounge-kitchen space equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. There is WiFi and off-street parking. The space is a separate dwelling looking onto a beautiful garden. It is set in a peaceful neighbourhood and is a short walk to local parks, cafes, and restaurants. Jan's studio lies at the foot of kunanyi/Mount Wellington, and is less than 3 km to Hobart and Salamanca, with its popular Saturday market.

South Hobart, Self-Contained Studio Apartment

A private self contained studio apartment located in the quiet hillside suburb of South Hobart. Easy walking distance to some great attractions including the Cascade Brewery and the female factory. Five minute drive (3km), or a scenic half hour walk to the centre of Hobart, Salamanca markets and the wharf precinct. Note - There is a set of stairs alongside a steep driveway to the studio entrance and may not be suited to those with walking difficulties.
