We were visiting family nearby and were so pleased with this home. It was quirky and full of character. The secure garden was perfect and everything was so neat and proper. It had excellent facilities and the little touches like coffee, tea and milk were perfect. The fact that dogs are allowed was very welcoming and kind. The only thing was the main road was quite loud but just bring some ear plugs and you’ll be absolutely fine. It’s worth it for this property which has everything you could need in a very beautiful village. We would 100% return if we came back to the area.

My son and his family stayed at Andrew’s property while they were visiting us from Australia. It is a fabulous property. Clean, comfortable and, with the log burner going, very cosy. Very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Very comfy beds and the little ones loved the bunk beds. Lots of little extras including books, games, logs for the fire and even a BBQ. Ideally situated with shops, cafes and the local market all within walking distance. The railway station is nearby and and the M6 less than 5 minutes drive. Andrew responded to a couple of minor queries almost immediately. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending and would definitely use again.

We had a great 10 night stay. The house had everything a family could need including everything for a baby like a gate for the stairs, high chair, cot and baby bath. The house also had lots of games and toys perfect for a rainy day. The kitchen had all the appliances you need to cook food for a family of four including herbs and spices and a dishwasher. As well as a great washing machine, dryer and ironing board with all soap and detergents provided. There were plenty of towels, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and hand soap was provided as well as cleaning supplies. Most importantly house was cosy and warm all the time despite the cold weather. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and the owners were very polite and quick to respond. Highly recommend!!!

The Hen house is a little gem. The garden and surrounding area is idyllic and the house is charming. We had a lovely couple of days relaxing and thoroughly loved our stay. Brian and Judy are lovely hosts and I highly recommend a stay with them.

Absolute gem of a house. Mark couldn’t have been a better host. House was spotless and extremely well appointed. Ansdell is a perfect spot as it’s easily accessible to Lytham and close to Fairhaven. My family lives in Lytham and when there is a big get together we sometimes need to find extra accommodation. This has been the best one we have found so far. Thank you Mark.

Truly a home from home. Nathan has thought of everything - we really didn’t want for anything. He was super helpful dropping a travel cot off for us on the first night. If you’re on the fence don’t hesitate, book it! Should we ever need oaklands again I would book it in a heartbeat. Perfect for families with open space and garden. Not to mention the toys that my three little boys were super excited to explore. Thanks again 😊

Fabulous little find, few mins walk for the centre. Next to a lovely park and canal which was perfect for dog walks. Loads of nice pubs close by. The famous Hare and hounds only 25 min walk where you can take in amazing scenery. The house itself was perfect and so clean. The bedding smelt amazing and it's the cleanest shower I've ever been in! Not to mention the best: We were left Prosecco and croissants which was a lovely touch. We enjoyed the hot tub and the garden was a sun trap. So enjoyable we didn't manage to go heck out one day! Chloe's communication was perfect and they were really flexible allowing us to drop the bags off earlier and find somewhere to leave the car so we could start our holiday. Will definitely return. We had a fantastic stay with our friends and family, everyone was spotless clean and the house is a dream. I have never stayed in such a beautiful, stylish, warm and classy place. Ros is an absolutely fantastic host, very welcoming and happy to support. I appreciate so much your quick responses especially during holiday season. The fireplace and hot tub are the cherry on the cake, makes the whole atmosphere so warm. I would 100% recommend this place, it’s even more nicer in reality.

Perfect place to relax on our quick Liverpool trip. Great for the dog with the prom and the Mersey beach so close by. Really comfy and quiet. Just what we needed.

Mary was a great host- very responsive. The Maples 3 was perfect for our stay as a base to explore the local area. It was very clean with all the basics needed in a peaceful location.

Reluctantly left after a fantastic two-night stay at the Rossendale Cottages. We’d stayed in this beautiful & spacious studio accommodation and absolutely loved it. The staff are fantastic and were so kind throughout. The area is lovely & the walks nearby are great fun - especially to the singing tree! The bed was comfy, food yummy & hosts were gracious and lovely. I’d love to come back!

Had a lovely working visit to the Wirral, The Bread Shed was ideal for my needs and the host were brilliant. Great communication and a lovely welcome package of fresh bread and other treats. Definitely a place I'll look out for next time and very much recommended to anyone visiting the area.

Really enjoyed our stay, the views of the lake was peaceful and calming. Only advice I would say is make sure to bring bug spray as once it starts getting dark they’re out in force. But that’s not a complaint as we still loved our stay

Only stayed for 1 night but had everything we needed, was in a beautiful location, was nice an quirky with the high beds which my son loved, nice and cosy and a lovely space outside for a fire to roast our marshmallows :)

Absolutely amazing stay could not recommend enough! Hosts were fantastic and very friendly. The perfect place to relax and unwind. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the river which is just a short walk away from where you're staying is 100% worth the visit. Youll not be disappointed. We will most definitely be coming back!

We had a beautiful stay at The Boathouse, it was just like the photos we were extremely impressed. We had the best time as a family of 4 inc our pooch who also enjoyed his stay.
