Very clean, easily accessible and perfectly placed in the middle of town to which we could walk to any location

Wonderfully warm and cosy, beautifully appointed with sympathetic attention to heritage values, and most bountifully provisioned with breakfast supplies. Easy walk into the centre of town.

Fantastic place. Fo yourself a favor and go here if you can. We had 4 wonderful days at Andy and Seona’s house. The stay went beyond our expectations. The house itself is new and spacious. The outdoor area is something special where you can sit and relax and overview the vineyard. There is both a lounge group and a dining table outside. A few minutes walk to the pub/restaurant Magpies and cellar door Reilleys that also served lunch. A lot of other cellar doors in Clare Valley close by car. The surroundings are beautiful. We saw many kangaroos 🦘 on our walks. Andy and Seona are the most caring hosts. They made our stay the greatest. We highly recommend Casa Barbera.

What can I say - we loved this cottage! it was super comfy, and amazingly clean. The yard was just perfect for our 2 dogs after a long long drive from the Northern Territory - they had a blast chasing birds and sniffing every little corner! The bed was so soft and comfy, with high end linen making for a really great sleep. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need - and the welcome basket was a really lovely touch! The shower was great, and the hot water Hot and plentiful! Plenty of parkin - even for our big 4x4 and car trailer - and the street was so quiet and safe that we had no concerns at all. The 2 mins walk to the bakery and IGA were just the cherry on top of an amazing stay! We will stay again next time we are in Burra - and strongly recommend this place to any and all!

She was an excellent host, easy to communicate with and provided a level of service that is rare these days. From the provisions to cleanliness of the house she must be commended.

We were a group of 8 friends having a catch up and golfing weekend in the area. Driving up to the Homestead you knew you were in for a great weekend. I huge fan of the architecture and the era and we were all very impressed. Large rooms to spread out, large kitchen with all you needed to cook up a feast and a bbq outside. Beautiful lawned grounds and rose gardens. The 7 bedrooms were all a good size and beds comfortable. 3 Bathrooms (2 ensuite ) were great and plenty of hot water. Only had one problem we couldn’t get the TV to work ( the boys were disappointed couldn’t watch the football). Price wise each couple paid what we would have paid for two nights at a nice hotel but this option gave us all the room we needed to gather together and really enjoy the company. Would stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend. I will be sharing photos with family and friends. Thanks for a Wonderful stay Nick and Alexander

Megan's place gave us the peaceful family break we needed. Very generous amenities and entertainment facilities. There was ample space for us and our adult children. Very close to everything including the Riesling Trail. Grounds are well kept. and the property very well presented. The neighbours are extremely friendly and helpful if you're lucky to meet them. Felt like we were right on Clare's main street without the traffic. Thanks Megan and Tim.
