We stay in this beautiful house every year for our ski vacation, and we absolutely love it. The combination of comfort, stunning natural surroundings, and the owner’s warm hospitality makes it a truly special place. Every visit, we fall in love with the house all over again. Some of the highlights include the outdoor jacuzzi, the fantastic family room with air hockey and ping pong, and the walk to the lake. Altogether, it’s a perfect getaway, and we hope to return year after year.

We love this place. We had such a great experience last year that we had to come back. The house has everything you need to have a good time. The living room is so big that you can have a large group and not feel on top of each other. There's a pool table, foosball table and a hot tub, What else do you need! I definitely would recommend this house. Thanks again Dave for an awesome time. We are looking forward to next year!!

We ate most meals on the deck admiring the lake and scenery. Most hot days at the lake, jumping off the floating dock, swimming and kayaking the beautiful lake. Most cool nights in the hot tub. Beautiful lake and close to many places (Saratoga, Lake George). Kids really enjoyed the lake, floating dock and hot tub as well as playing darts on the deck. Tinney’s Tavern nearby had great food and was an easy walk. Nice hiking trail nearby. Joan was easily accessible for any questions that arose.

This cabin is so tranquil and great if you want a quiet, peaceful getaway from the city.

It was nice staying at this Chalet. It felt home, cozy, serene and very private. Eventhough there are lots of cameras around the property but we felt safe for that. I didn't find the cameras are hampering our privacy. Only concern is you need to climb to the ladder to get into the Common Space two. So if you are big group of people then I would say that place is good for any teen boys or girls or who is athletic to climb up and down to the common space. We didn't need to use that area since we were a small group of people and we enjoyed our stay.

A really awesome place, ideal for relaxing and get energized without external distractions ! Limited network depending on your carrier, which was exactly what we were looking for! A bit chilly in mid October - as advertised - but Pam made everything to make sure we were comfortable ! I am pretty sure I will come back! The cottage and property was well maintained. You definitely feel like you’re staying at a person’s home. The books, games, open floor plan, soaking tub, all make you feel cozy and if your staying at a friends cabin without the guilt of being an intrusive guest. The bugs deterred us from being outside at night, but that is to be expected with the view. The kayaks were easy to use and not far from a sandy shore and lake. We stuck to the middle tiny island and floated. It is not deep. The private beaches are not necessary but there is a small area near the painted frog rock where you can place your kayak if you are alone and want to swim. I was told by the renter’s it was fine but you want to ask because I don’t know if it’s technically private shoreline. Sitting in the living room playing trivia and hiking Auger Falls was our family’s highlight and bringing our dog made him so happy. He is still tired! It was the perfect combination of rustic charm with excellent amenities.

I can’t say enough how thoughtful Mark and his family were in digging my car out of the snow after GPS directed me past Marks cabin which was thoroughly plowed. Wonderful and kind people. Old school bare bones cabin perfect for a peaceful night before heading to High Peaks for hiking.

Perfect place for the family. Close to gore mountain for skiing, quiet area on a dead end road. Place was really clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. Simple check in and check out instructions. Loved it!

If you’re looking for a quiet getaway in a cute rustic cabin in the woods, this is the place for you! The cabin was peaceful, quiet, well plowed in the winter, warm and cozy and only 10 minutes away from Gore mountain. We were exceptionally comfortable with all creature comforts at your fingertips and especially loved the fireplace! Lin was a wonderful host! Maintained great communication with all necessary details cleared up before we arrived. I absolutely loved the personal touches, the cute welcome notes and all the little extras thrown in. Made our stay exceptionally special and comfortable. It was exactly what we needed! We will 100% come back!

This is a beautiful property overlooking the mountain valley. The 2 fire pits, pool, hot tub, porch, and lawns provide plenty of space to spend time appreciating the scenery while spending time with friends. There's plenty of room to comfortably sleep 16 people and with a big enough common area inside to comfortably hold everyone if it rains. There's a few hikes very close to the property and plenty more to do within an hour radius of the property, although you can easily spend 2 days without leaving. The sun and moon rise right over the valley and were spectacular from both the porch and firepit. Kevin was kind and laid back and it seemed his #1 concern was providing a good time to our party. Overall it was a very positive experience.

Great place to relax, enjoy nature and peace & quiet. Lovely scenery and while separate from any commotion, easy to get to anywhere you need to get to in the Lake George area. Host was proactive and responded quickly, cabin was clean, cozy and comfortable. Definitely coming back!

Stephen’s place was amazing!!! He was very quick to respond and very accommodating. His place was gorgeous, very clean, peaceful and we really enjoyed watching the beautiful horses on the property. Would absolutely recommend his place to everyone!

We loved our stay! The house was cozy and homey with lots of charm. Plenty of beds and room for everyone. We came for a ski trip and enjoyed the short trip to Gore Mt. We got hit with a snow storm and enjoyed sitting in the hot tub while the snow fell over the mountains and the views were incredible. One of our cars got stuck in the snow coming up the driveway and his snow plow guys helped tow us out. Kevin was responsive and accommodating. A great stay!

This home is super spacious and totally what one would need to be with nature. A 15 min drive gets you to a small town at the bottom of the mountain. Lake George is about 25-30 min drive. The inside of the house was really clean and nice. The pool wasn’t as clean as I would expect it to be, it needed a really good cleaning before we jumped in. Also the pools filtering systems is connected to the home and attracts tons of unwanted flies and insects so bring plenty of bug spray and citronella candles,that helped somewhat. I would recommend for a large group. Also tents can be set up in the back yard with the amount of land that’s available.

Melissa’s home was absolutely perfect for our family! The place was clean, spacious, and had an incredible backyard and pool. This Airbnb truly felt like our home for 5 days. Melissa was prompt in answering questions and always made herself available if we needed something. We would absolutely stay again!

Vasili's place was a great house for our two families with 4 kids. The main space is open and accommodating for cooking, eating, and lounging and the kitchen was very well stocked. There is great natural light, many lovely plants, and a peaceful, homey setting. We were greeted by the caretaker Dick who lives downstairs and is a lovely human! The location close to Gore was super convenient. The bedrooms and bathrooms were fine, they felt a little run-down with pretty old sheets and towels but everything felt clean. The mattress in the bedroom with no window was not super comfortable and one of the beds was a full, not a queen as listed. The wifi in the main space was solid, but did not reach to the back bedrooms. We were a bit disappointed to learn that only one bundle of firewood is included, as buying bundles from the store is so costly. Overall we were very happy with our stay at Sparrow's Nest and we would definitely stay here again!
