IF YOU’RE READING THIS PLEASE COME STAY HERE! I was fortunate to meet a friend from Norway at a vipassana meditation retreat in America who had been here and told me about it. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had and a true gem of Nepal. Kamal, his wife Goma and family instantly welcomed me into their family. I had initially booked for 4 nights not sure what to expect and ended up staying for 12 and I really wanted to stay longer. This place attracts a certain kind of person and I met some beautiful new friends from America and Europe who I really bonded with over the 12 days. From the breathtaking hikes, truly authentic and homegrown meals, intimate meditation/yoga classes every morning and the most peaceful, idyllic atmosphere you could ever dream of, I’m already looking forward to coming back for a longer stay in the future. Thank you Kamal and family, you are wonderful!

Manish’s apartment was as per the description. It’s a cozy apartment with every facility you need. Cold evening in Kathmandu was not a problem with A/C and a heater making the apartment warm. Security was very nice. Sumit from casa deyra, was also greatwith communication. No hassle in check-in and check-out. Overall, very nice stay. Would definitely book this place for my next visit and recommend for my friends.

I had a fantastic stay at Bhawani’s place, they have been always really helpful and nice with us since day one, very responsive and attentive and that was appreciated 🙏 They offer one complimentary meal and breakfast is included too, the food is also delicious there. Felt in love with paratha! The apartment is spacious and traditionally decorated, I love it this way. Hot shower and kitchen working perfectly and you can use the laundry as well. The location is peaceful and you can walk to bus station and cafes or take very cheap taxis to go to Thamel in 10 minutes, you should download Indrive for taxis, it’s really convenient. Nice supermarkets also just 10 minutes walking distance. It is a highly recommended place to stay in Katmandú and if I ever be back I will contact them again for sure. The flat I rented from Andrei and Maria was perfectly in line with the photos and the descriptions. I loved the atmosphere, the neighborhood, and the flat. It was peaceful and quiet, which was great as a contrast to the hustle and bustle of Patan. I highly recommend the apartment. Maria and Andrei were not on site themselves. but the friendly downstairs neighbor took care of my questions and provided assistance when needed.

Good stay, considerate hosting. Old style hospitality missing in most of South Asia nowadays. Homely and seeped in knowledge culture.

I loved every last moment of my 55 days at Abhaya’s home. A very short walk to many shops and restaurants, but on a sweet back road with a slower pace. The apartment felt warm, comfortable, and private - but with the timely care of a wonderful and friendly family. Everything was available and managed incredibly well. More than just thankful for the experience, I was touched that a family had such time and guidance for someone such as myself - who just happened to make this booking on AirBnb. Thank you so much for everything! For sure I hope to consider this my home base in the future while in Kathmandu, and I do hope to make it back very soon.

The apartment felt like home the moment I walked in the entrance door. The apartment was spacious and well equipped with everything needed. The location was a pleasant 20 minute walk through a safe and friendly Nepali neighborhood to the Thamel area. The host was superb. He responded to messages in a timely manner, provided information on dinning, shopping, and attractions in Kathmandu.

Perfect place in Kathmandu for short and long-term stays. Flats are comfortably equipped with all the needed amenities, as depicted in photos. Best silent location away from pollution and the rush of the city, yet in walking distance to the center. Urmila and her family are all very helpful in assisting you in every situation to make your stay most comfortable. I will stay again in the future. Thank you.

I had a great stay at Urban Retreat Studio Apartments. It is located in a convenient location of Lalitpur and is very walkable. The room was spacious, open, and very bright with lots of windows. Parbat, the host, was very responsive and quick to answer and accommodate my questions. I'd recommend this place for those looking for a studio apartment in the heart of Kathmandu.

My son and I stayed at Rabin's unit for two weeks in February because my son was playing a tennis tournament nearby. About the place: We stayed at the unit with the attached kitchen and bathroom - the unit is exactly as in the photographs, clean, roomy and has a small kitchenette. Rooms were cleaned once a week, and fresh linen and towels were provided. What struck me the most is that Rabin is the most genuinely nice and helpful person I've met. For example, when my son's shoes gave way in the midst of the second week, Rabin personally assisted me in getting them repaired. Rabin, his lovely wife, and his wonderful parents made us feel at ease and safe - they took excellent care of us! added bonus: Rabin is a good cook!

Sanjeeb and his family are helpful and nice. House is clean and you can feel as at home. The house is near the street and you can buy anything easily by walk distance. If you like cooking, it is a very recommended location to stay. Would like to stay next trip to Nepal.

I highly recommend Pasang's place. The apartment is clean and comfortable, the building is safe and secure, and Pasang is very friendly and helpful. The apartment is also in a great location - it's on a quiet street off the main road and is easily walkable to restaurants, shops, etc. This was my second time staying here, and I look forward to staying again in the future.
