Great spot on Kangaroo Island away from anything or anyone else. 5 minute drive to a fantastic beach and about 1 hour to Remarkable Rocks. Easy to find - they must of put up a sail sign recently as it wasn't in the pictures but made it super easy to identify the driveway. This place has everything you need minus food. Hit the grocery store on your way in and enjoy disconnecting from society! also, lots of kangaroos in the morning and evening.

I don't even know where to begin to describe this wonderful experience. This was the first time in 15 years for my husband and me to visit Kangaroo Island, and the very first time for our 6- and 9-year-old children. Vivonne Bay was the perfect location, offering ideal access to all the places that captivated us, and we enjoyed every day in comfort. Adorable animals visited the ocean view throughout the day, and our children absolutely loved spending time with the cute wallabies and birds. Without a doubt, this has become one of our most treasured memories. The room was very clean, fully equipped with everything we needed, and we were able to stay comfortably without any inconvenience. Ian and Anne’s recommended handbook was also incredibly helpful. Even the meals at the nearby general store exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much!!

We had a wonderful 5 days at the Cape in Emu Bay. The location is perched up on the hill overlooking the expansive bay with comfortable and elegant indoor and outdoor areas that maximise the amazing nature around us. We also got some great tips from our host, including that there were a couple of koalas up the tree at the end of the drive! Some days we wandered around the local area, swimming and walking, and other days we jumped in the car to check out the other great places on the island like west coast, stokes bay, wineries, distillery and more. Thank you for creating such a great place.

Lovely holiday accommodation, Super clean with everything you need for catering, only 30 minutes to the national park visitor center. Wallabies coming to the front yard every night, kids love it! Highly recommended!

Our stay at Saltwater was absolutely amazing! Evening from start to finish was convenient. Dave was very pro active in keeping us informed about things to do around. He was there to welcome us and showed around all necessary stuff in the house. We never had to look for anything! We were travelling with a 9 month old, Dave had very generously provided us with all baby essentials and my boy enjoyed his stay just as much as us. Thank you Dave for being a great host and giving us a chance to stay at this beautiful home! The views were spectacular, we enjoyed sunrises (thanks to my LO), sunsets and some star gazing as well. We also enjoyed the origami placed in different places, it’s the small things that matter! Looking forward to staying at Saltwater again! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful private stay at Sue’s place on Kangaroo Island! She was very responsive and helpful, especially with our room arrangements. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature—plus, we were lucky to see some adorable kangaroos right on the property! Sue also gave great local recommendations that really added to our trip. Highly recommend staying here!

This was such a special place to stay. The house is in an incredible location—secluded and peaceful, it felt like we were staying right inside the national park with no neighbours in sight from the house, but only a short walk to the beach, and a great location to drive to some of Kangaroo Island's key attractions. The host had thoughtfully set up water troughs around the outside of the property, which meant we could watch local wildlife visit to drink, especially in the evenings from the house. We saw so many animals during our stay—kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, possums—it was a real highlight of our trip. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a quiet, nature-filled getaway. We're looking forward to our next stay here!
