The Ponderosa

The Ponderosa is relaxing and peaceful for anyone. If you need more space, we have outdoor areas for RVs or tents. This is a great space for gatherings such as: crawfish boils, family reunions, birthdays, a romantic couple getaway or a family escape from everyday life. Come out and enjoy nature and look at the stars at the Ponderosa. Lake Sam Rayburn is 35 min., Steinhagen Reservoir is 10 min. away and Big Thicket National Game preserve is minutes away. Shooting on property needs approval.

Our dock runs 5-6 feet deep — deep enough to actually jump off, which is rarer on this lake than you'd think — plus a slide into the shallow end the little ones won't get off of. Kayaks and a paddleboard included. Meanwhile you're on the shaded back deck with coffee, looking straight down at the dock. You can see them the whole time, which means you can actually sit down. 2,300 sq ft. Sleeps 10.

This property is secluded under a shaded canopy of oaks, in a quiet, country setting. A fire pit, BBQ area, swim area and dock, which is fitted with cleats for docking your boat or jet skies, are available for use. Plenty of parking. Pets under 20lbs are allowed with PRE-APPROVAL BEFORE BOOKING ONLY.

Relax and enjoy the beauty of this peaceful private lake with lakefront cabin. Full kitchen, with complimentary coffee and tea, queen bed, private full bathroom. A large, covered porch. Fire pit and charcoal grill are provided as well as a Kayak for your enjoyment. Kayak, fish, or swim or just chill on private pier. Check in 3:00 pm - Check out 11:00 am.
