no phone connection, no wifi, just pure nature. Animals are lovely. People in the park are very knowlegable and love to share about whos in their care. its a simple bunk bed with no bedding, so bring your owm stuff! Heating is great as nights got cooler. Gorgeous place to rest from the hustle and bustle of travelling.

Great place to relax and smell the roses. The large bedroom upstairs was perfect, with a view over the pond and the huge window allows you to star watch at night. Echidna wandering the paddock, lots of birdlife and Steve went out of his way to help us spot the platypus in the pond. Steve's wild life photography is superb. Will stay here again

A very peaceful spot with an incredible view. Birds and ducks visit the water holes and there are fruit, veggies and eggs available. We very much appreciated the breakfast goodies. It was a delight to stay here!

Our stay at Shane’s Ariel Cottage was blissful! We appreciated the eggs and fresh milk, and the log fire added such a cosy atmosphere. The hot tub was a real treat—so relaxing to sit in the warmth and take in the peaceful view. The cottage, built from local stone and timber, has a timeless, grounded feel that fits beautifully into the surroundings. We would definitely recommend Shane’s cottage to anyone looking to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and enjoy some well-earned time out.

Peter and Susie were the perfect hosts! They were proactive in letting us know that there are no grocery stores or restaurants nearby, so we had plenty of time to buy our own food (however, they offered to cook us dinner). Peter gave us plenty of local recommendations, insider information, when we arrived and they offered excellent hiking tips for Cradle Mountain. The suite was large and in pristine condition. The bed, linens, and pillows were super comfortable (we loved the heating blanket). Lovely toiletries provided and a nice hot shower. We thought the filtered water tap was a fantastic surprise addition. There was also a kettle and fridge in our room, with our personal supply of coffee and tea. The 2 course breakfast was the cherry on top, absolutely delicious. The only downfall, which should not prevent you from running to stay here, is the shower head being a little low and not having the best pressure.

Liana was a beautiful host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lorinna. The home was warm and very homely. We will definitely be back for another stay in the future.

Absolutely beautiful! Amazing outdoor spa, looking onto the mountain, beautiful and warm on checkin. Perfect, peaceful, some of the best Tasmania has to offer. 👏👏

I had the most magical stay here! Starting with the greeting from Shane and the dogs, to then having a chat about the house's history. It was relaxing from the get go. The land is stunning and having the ability to walk through the paddocks, visiting the alpacas, sheep, goats, and chickens along the way was such a treat. Shane even provided us some local goodies for breakfast, and eggs from the coop across from the cottage. It truly felt like I was back in an old cottage in England and I am thankful that I found this place because I will for sure be returning. Thank you Shane for such a wonderful place to relax in!!
