Beautiful home! Had a wonderful stay. Fun area with great shops and food.

This is the loveliest house on a large lot with a wonderful view. We so enjoyed our stay and we're grateful for a warm, snug house on some cold nights.

My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

My husband and I, and our two pups had a fantastic time in the Carriage House for a week. Part of a breathtaking private/secret compound on the water…with the most incredible private tidal pool. The place is so authentic, which is what we love about staying in ME when we can escape. We were so blessed to find Margaret’s place last minute. Margaret’s mother, Sally, and her husband were in the main Kate’s house. So so sweet they were to us and our girls. A dog paradise. We are foodies. Plenty of good restaurants around - just a few minutes to the adorable village of Stonington. Around the corner is one of the best restaurants in the country - Aragosta. We can’t wait to return…hopefully, in the Fall. A trip we will always remember. Thank you, Margaret & Family.

The house, front porch, yard, and view are amazing!! Any questions we had were answered very promptly when we emailed Margaret. Our first three days were rainy, but we had the magnificent stone fireplace going and played games, which there are many to choose from. Also, a ping pong table!!! :) We all had a great time, 4 adults and an 18-month-old. So happy to finally find a place in Stonington that I want to return to every year. Visiting from Old Orchard Beach ME & Rochester NH

BEAUTIFUL Home!! Tons of space to relax and spread out with our family! The beds were very comfortable! We really appreciated all of the bathrooms for our group! The kitchen was huge and so handy for preparing meals! I absolutely loved the style and atmosphere of this wonderful home! We also loved being able to bring our dogs!! We had a lovely time and we would most definitely come back!!! 🥰

We had a great stay. Good location to visit surrounding local towns. The pool, deck, and yard allowed for a lot of fun outside. The yard was nicely mowed and the pool was very clean!
