Susan's place was exactly what we were looking for for a weekend getaway from Melbourne. It's close enough for an easy drive, lovely scenery, and a very comfortable place to stay. Lancefield was the closest town which had all of the the food and restaurant options we could use. The bed was fantastic, and there were extra blankets, towels, and enough cutlery and crockery for a couple of people on a weekend away. We had tea, coffee, and very kindly some fruit and biscuits for us on arrival which made it feel right at home. The property is listed as pet friendly, and it's so well organised for the pup that we had everything at hand that we needed including towels to keep her dry when it was raining outside. The hot tub was great, and although the weather wasn't fantastic, it was lovely to spend the evening in. I could go on, but if you're reading this, and need a short stay away in the country this is the place to be.

An epic location and cabin, completely surrounded by nature! The perfect place to escape the day-to-day and relax.

This is a simple and clean place to stay in the caravan park. It had a bunk bed which my friends kid loved. Check in was a bit hard because we got in late. Would recommend if you need a spot to crash :)

This was a great spot to spend the weekend with kids. You have access to the Trawool Estate facilities (tennis courts, basketball court, pool, restaurants. And I believe there is a squash court), which we used and the kids loved. The Great Victorian Rail Trail is also right outside the cottage and we used it a lot for walks and bike rides. The cottage itself is cosy and peaceful. We felt really relaxed there as a family of 5 - ample space to relax and cook nice meals etc. There are a couple of sturdy tree swings just outside the cottage which the kids loved. There is also an enclosed garden area which was perfect for our dog. We will go back - and take our bikes again!

Hassan is very friendly and made you feel like your at home. I recommend this place if you like the country type of feel and the kookaburras and birds and seen a few kangaroos of the balcony and was overall a great place. 👍

A beautiful estate loved the gardens & the cottage was adorable. We enjoyed our night with our dog who felt like a king! We will recommend and if we are in the area again will come back for longer! Thank you Sharnie we loved reading about the heritage of Craignair house.

Such a great and cosy place to stay. Couldn’t fault it in anyway. Secluded but also not too far away from the closest towns. Would definitely stay again!

The house was wonderful inside and out! It was very clean and well maintained, as well as very stylishly finished. It was really amazing to be able to sit out side on the patio to watch the birds come and go at various times in the day. Inside, the kitchen and bathroom were very clean. The living room and bedroom were both comfortable. I feel very fortunate to have been able to stay there and would do so again!

Beautiful and spacious house! Very clean with all the amenities. Easy to reach and get in. Only problem..didn’t manage to connect to WiFi. Would still recommend it!

Kerry is a very warm and welcoming host. The cottage was clean, comfortable and cosy. Lovely surrounds and not too far from all the attractions in Ballarat. We'll definitely be back.

The Artist studio is a unique and lovely place to stay. It has everything you need for a stay in Hepburn Springs with Daylesford and Ballarat next door. There’s one thing that totally destroyed the vibe for me, the neighbours little dog. Constant barking between 5pm - 11pm. If you don’t mind noisy dogs, this place is ideal for you.

We loved our weekend getaway at the Daylesford Bush Retreat! The house was neat and clean with everything you need to relax. Really nice bathroom too, which is important to us 😉. Untouched bushland all around to explore and only 8 min drive into town make this a place we’ll come back to, thanks!

David is a fantastic host. Friendly responsive and will do whatever he can to make your stay better. The location is very private and peaceful with beautiful nature around you while you have a wooly 2 km away !
