A peaceful quiet , comfortable place. Very charming place to stay. The pool was like a private little oasis. It was clean and cool a nice way to unwind after a day of walking around the city. Steve and Tamarin were friendly and very accommodating. If there were a ten star rating I would give them a 10

This is a charming, beautiful beautiful building with soul and history, a romantic and unique-to-New-Orleans 'Streetcar Named Desire' style, and is lovingly restored and immaculately cared for. All of the furniture and apartment accoutrements are high quality and tasteful, a swoon-worthy mix of vintage and modern. Neil went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our short stay. The immediate area is slightly industrial, and there was loud machinery noise early on a Saturday morning (bring ear plugs if you plan on sleeping in) but it's just a short and peaceful walk to Magazine Street and the Garden District (highlights were the gumbo at Gris-Gris & Century Girl vintage.) Note that if you are sharing this small space that the bathroom wall design does not fully enclose the area, making the upstairs suite best suited to solo travelers or well-established couples. Quirky, magical and authentic, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here on again future visits to the city.

Love her place was nice and quiet

We stayed here for 1.5 wks around d holidays with our 2 toddlers. We loved the walkable neighborhood, close to trolley and the park. The place itself is beautiful and includes extra amenities. Hosts are very responsive and kind. Highly recommend!

Vilna was a kind, friendly, and helpful host. My friend and I felt very comfortable and her place and she was very helpful getting us things we needed like more water for the apartment. The area around her home felt safe and accessible and we happily made the 20-25 minute walk to Jazzfest every morning! If you are used to staying in affluent neighborhoods with manicured lawns, streetlights and perfectly aligned sidewalks -- this neighborhood and area may not be up your alley. But if you want to have the most authentic conversations with people on their porches, see the real New Orleans, and get a taste of the seventh ward leaving with the embrace of the NOLA people, don't miss a stay with VILNA!

We had a great stay! I had a little trouble connecting to wifi and Gary did all that he could to help me out and was very responsive to my messages! Come to find out it was my phone that had the issue but he was super quick to help anyways! There were a few wasp nests I had to knock down outside near the entrance and some construction things on the porch but the inside was very beautiful and very clean! We will definitely stay again!

We had a great stay and we're surprised to find out we were on a parade route! Our host was wonderful and very thoughtful. For being directly on Burbon st, you really can't hear much in the rooms. We had a jazz busker below our balcony most of our stay. He was very talented and we loved having his music in the background of our stay. I would absolutely recommend this listing!

Perfect mini getaway from Memphis! The house was clean, adorable, and cozy! We really loved the pool and the backyard! The beach is just right down the road, along with some really great restaurants!

What a fantastic host Vincent and his family were. They looked after us with great advice for restaurants, things to do and couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome and at home. They were incredibly friendly. The guesthouse had everything you could need - a great coffee machine, fridge freezer and washing machine and dryer (very useful half way round a road trip). However, it was the little additions that made this a fantastic stay. Cool bag and ice blocks; toaster; three bikes, rocking chair; pint of milk in the fridge on arrival etc. Vincent had thought of everything. The neighbourhood was very safe and interesting and within two minutes you could be at the lake with spectacular views across to the causeway. We watched an amazing sunset one night and had an outstanding pizza recommended by Vincent within a five minute walk of the guesthouse. The oldest jazz club in the world, where Louis Armstrong once played, was short walk away. Thanks for a great stay.

I was looking for a place to recover from a major surgery for 2 weeks. Carrie and Rob went above and beyond to be sure that my caregiver and I were comfortable and had everything that we needed. Nice energy. plenty of linens. washer and dryer. they were very responsive, thoughtful and compassionate. the courtyards were very nice place to relax. 10/10 recommend!

Everything was absolutely perfect!

Eric’s place was perfect for our trip to Gonzales, LA. The bed was comfortable and provided a great nights sleep. The kitchen had every amenity necessary. The furniture was great for chilling and watching a movie. The patio was perfect for reading a book. The deck overlooking the bayou was a nice touch. Eric’s place was very eclectic and you could feel the love he and Miranda put into it. We will definitely plan to stay here again.

It’s a peaceful place in the bayou. Tom was a great host. If I’m in the area again, I’d absolutely stay again. If you’re looking for a high end kitchen go elsewhere. Appliances are old but all were clean and worked perfectly. Well stocked with spices and cooking supplies. Sheets were so soft and the ac was cold. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. And was so happy to let my pup get some off leash time. Thanks Tom!

This place was amazing!!! Sean was awesome and responsive!! Even gave us some ideas on what was going on in the neighborhood! I loved that the showers had body wash and shampoo and conditioner!! I wish every host was as amazing as them!!!

Absolutely loved our stay here. Joseph’s place was so cute and cozy— a perfect retreat for a few days, which was just what we needed. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with the essentials we needed and the bathroom was like a spa. Checking in and out was simple and quick. The location was safe and secure and in a beautiful area with plenty to walk to. The guide book included great recommendations, some of which had already been on our list before we arrived. This wasn’t our first time in New Orleans but may have been our best in part thanks to our wonderful accommodations.

The location is great - easy walking to French Quarter, Bywater, right next to Frenchman St. Ton of everything you need right nearby, but still very quiet and peaceful. Place itself is comfortable and charming. Many nice little touches of tasteful but joyful mardi gras decor. High quality and plentiful towels - soap, shampoo, coffee, tea etc. if you forget to bring any. A wonderful place!

We had a great stay at Stephanie’s place. It was very charming with an authentic New Orleans vibe, and many nice details in the decor and amenities, including a comfy bed and nice linens and towels. The cottage is located right on the street and across from a neighborhood bar, but they had a white noise machine that masked the street noise and so we had no problem sleeping. We enjoyed exploring the Bywater area and checking out some of the local restaurants and bars, and also walked the 2 miles into the French Quarter. Would definitely stay here again when we return for a visit to New Orleans.

I came into town for a cousin's wedding and this was the perfect place to stay! I was also studying for my finals and this place was in a very peaceful area so I was able to get plenty of studying done, as well as being close to the venue. It was clean, bright, and an absolute delight. If I'm ever back in town I would love to stay here again!

My parents stayed here the weekend of my wedding and absolutely loved it! The relaxing pool area was so nice to unwind during the stress of the weekend. The groomsmen even got ready here the morning of the wedding and all of the natural light in the main room was PERFECT for the photographer! We will definitely stay here again even when it isn't among crazy wedding festivities! I will note that the rule about no parties is quite strict, and the neighbors will speak up directly to you over the fence or call Patricia if there are cars in the road near their driveways or load music. That said, if you follow the rules of the listing, you'll have no problems enjoying your time on the beautiful property! Thanks to Patricia (and her cute dogs that like saying hi) for being a great host!!
