The shearer’s quarters were a great find and very well worth the effort of driving out of Longreach. The bedrooms are very well appointed, and the kitchen and dining room wanted for absolutely nothing. The complex has real character, which combined with the tranquility of the setting (particularly at dawn and dusk), and the generosity of Hannah and her family made for a really enjoyable 5* stay!

Tanya and David were excellent hosts. They picked us up at the station even though we were very delayed and supplied us with breakfast for the morning. They were very helpful when asked but also respectful of our privacy. The location is amazing with lots of privacy and abundant wildlife. Highly recommend.

Cilla’s Open Door was just lovely. It was sparkling clean and spacious and had every amenity we required for our four nights. Probably the most comfortable bed we have experienced in an Air BnB. The location was good, close to the Qantas museums and the Stockman’s Hall of Fame. It was a flat walk into town if feeling energetic. We had the pleasure of meeting Cilla and Robert. We loved staying and would highly recommend it for comfort and excellent value for money.

Evanston Station is a perfect farm stay for anyone wanting to experience living on a remote working sheep farm. The hosts are more than welcoming and along with their friendly hospitality, our stay was very memorable! Our living quarters were more than comfortable and very clean and well appointed. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for something different and unique. Thanks to our wonderful hosts who made our stay one that we won’t forget!

Wow what a stunning property!! Everything about our stay was wonderful - accommodation very comfortable & super cute - very functional kitchen & facilities. So incredibly quiet & peaceful with a view of never ending sky & open paddocks - so close to explore longreach & surrounds - absolutely love Ilfracombe & the pub there is such a treat Maree (host) is so warm & friendly, I felt like I was visiting a friend. And Hannah (host) was so good to deal with when booking & answering all my questions prior to check in ☺️ Thankyou ladies for opening up your property for us city folk to experience 😁 Sharon & Dave

This was an outstanding place to stay. A little bit of station life, a little bit of relaxation, a lot of chat and superb accommodation. I take photos, so was able to wander around the homestead and sheep yards freely. So close to town (Longreach, Ilfracombe and Barcaldine) but far enough out to be in the peace and quiet.

This is not only a wonderful air bnb it's a whole experience. The Hosts Maree and Johnnie ( Hannah's parents) made us part of the family. You can feel history of Australian Shearing and sheep raising envelope you from the moment you arrive. The Old shearer quarters have been very cleverly renovated into lovely bed rooms. The Kitchen, dining and sitting areas couldn't be faulted for all the amenities you could ever wish for. The meal packs were generous and delicious and make sure you opt in for the tour of the property at sunset. The sunset bar and open campfire was another great time. Thankyou so much for a wonderful stay and beautiful hospitality.

Beautiful old renovated home! Spacious living areas and rooms. Well equipped including toys for the kids! Highly recommend to stay here especially with children.

We were very comfortable staying at Tanya’s place. Fabulously comfortable beds with beautiful linen. We had everything we needed and the heating worked well to warm us on those cold western Queensland mornings and nights.

A beautiful well maintained home. Great quiet location. Beautiful big wrap around deck with well maintained yard and gardens. Host was super friendly and responsive.
