Jose and David were incredible hosts. So friendly and welcoming. Felt at home with them, and the breakfast this morning was the perfect post surf meal. The bungalow was so peaceful and your magazine with local recommendations was amazing. We went to La Parcela and loved it!

Unbelievable location and place. Everything you need is close and the hospitality is top level. Right in the middle of the wildlife with access to all the luxury you need. Look no further, this place is awesome!

The house is large and beautiful and the pictures are very accurate to what you are getting. You can find a few more photos on the Costa Verde website for bungalow A-14. Check in is at the reception desk and they drive you to your place. The third bedroom is now closed in completely with glass and while it doesn’t have its own A/C there’s a fan and with the door open you can easily have a very nice temperature in this room from the A/C in the living room. The views from the patio/terrace area are phenomenal and the grounds are very nice. The kitchen is limited but functional, as shown in the pictures. Housekeeping came every day and kept the place impeccably clean. The screened in bathrooms were really delightful, like an outdoor shower without the animals and bugs joining you. One slight downside is the roof is the kind that will be very loud in a rain storm. Very convenient to El Avion and El Wagon and the hotel pools are lovely.

The Portal, hosted by Aylee, is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. The views are truly million-dollar, offering stunning sunsets and a connection to nature with butterflies, birds, and wildlife right outside your door. The privacy and serenity of this location make it a perfect retreat. Aylee is an exceptional host, always available and proactive in communication, ensuring our stay was seamless and memorable. We enjoyed two incredible services during our visit: a private yoga class and a two-hour massage, both of which were extraordinary and added to the relaxing experience. The sunsets were spectacular, and the natural beauty surrounding The Portal made every moment unforgettable. While the listing is clear about the absence of air conditioning, which initially gave us pause, the breathtaking experience more than made up for it. A couple of warm nights were a minor trade-off for the unparalleled setting. We highly recommend this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

We had a wonderful experience. This is one of the best views of the Costa Rican jungle and mountains in an extremely secluded / quiet / private location. We've tried to stay in similar AirBnb's before that had issues with loud neighbors and difficult access roads. In contrast, this location was easy to access (no 4x4 needed) and was very private because there are no neighbors. In addition, Markus was great. He was friendly and welcoming. The food options took our stay to the next level. While the unit is well designed for cooking, we didn't want to prepare our own meals on this trip. Markus cooked for us in his rancho two dinners and two breakfasts. Not only were they delicious, he graciously accommodated my wife's allergies to lactose and soy even though this required him heavily modifying some of his recipes. I cannot possibly recommend this AirBnb more. Do yourself a favor and rent it!

Hugo, Alan and Andres were all pleasant, informative and available. The cabin, setting and mountain views were like a painting in every direction you looked. Sunrises and sunsets were stunning. Kitchen facilities had everything we needed. Besides going for walks and to the onsite restaurant, we didn't want to leave. we loved everything about our experience there. thank you!

Our host was great! He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed from day one. Our location was very convenient. It is centrally located between Dominical Beach and San Isidro. And walking distance to Nauyaca Waterfalls. Nature surrounds this beautiful jungle park like destination. Every morning/day we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and butterflies! There are an amazing variety of birds to watch! Some days we got glimpses of the Agouti and the turkey-looking black birds with bright yellow beaks walking through. And the nature sounds were music to our ears! We took advantage of the lemon trees too! The private outdoor space was perfect for us and we used it daily, rain or shine. We were provided a carport for parking. The property is gated and safe.

We had an amazing stay at Britt's place! The jungle surroundings made it so special and the kids got to see monkeys right outside our casa. We even saw Toucans! Britt was very helpful and responsive. The location was great too, between Quepos (less touristy) and Manuel Antonio (more touristy). Keep in mind you ideally would want a 4x4 to get up the hill to the place. The pool was very much appreciated—the kids loved it, and we even saw monkeys right around the pool area! Just a note for families: since this is a residential area with full-time residents nearby, you’ll want to keep play in the pool on the quieter side. Especially with younger kids, it can be a bit tricky to manage volume, so something to be mindful of. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and made some really special memories as a family. Amazing place to stay, great value. Wildlife all around! Monkeys, bird, sloths. 5 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and bars.

I stayed here with my two sons and we had a lovely time. The place has a stunning view, relaxing athmosphere, and is conveniently located, just as described in the property profile. It’s right on the main road, so you do hear some traffic, but it didn’t bother us at all — especially with so much to enjoy nearby. One great perk is the access to the family pools at the hotel right across the street, which was perfect for traveling with kids. Just a heads-up for other families: access to the pool with the ocean view is restricted and not available if you're staying with children, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, we had a great stay — the combination of location, comfort, and views made it a memorable stop on our trip.
