We've dubbed this stunning, newly constructed detached studio the "Lighthouse" because of the way natural light pours through the 550-square-foot studio's many windows and dances off its walls and vaulted ceilings. An open loft offers soothing views. We are tucked into the Westmoreland neighborhood's quiet residential area, but are only a five minute walk from more than 20 restaurants and entertainment features. Westmoreland Park, Reed College and downtown Portland are just minutes away by car.

Modern Industrial style with many eco-friendly features such as mini-split heat/ac, tankless water heater, and all-natural fiber area rugs and linens means fewer toxins and a low carbon footprint. Situated near Laurelhurst and Mount Tabor parks with restaurants and amenities nearby. We are also pet friendly and allow well-behaved dogs on leashes for a $30 fee per dog, per visit.

The Maple Cottage is located in the Historic Mississippi district of Portland. It offers a full kitchen, bedroom and generous dining room table that doubles as a work area. Downtown Portland is just a short distance and our city is widely known for it's excellent transit system. Bikes are available for rent just a few blocks away. Welcome to our home!

The Lacamas Creek Trailhead is two blocks away and we sit in the backyard of the Columbia Gorge, which is stunning to hike year round. Please note, the kitchen is a kitchenette with small fridge, toaster oven & fantastic coffee maker. The Portland airport is 15 minutes away. Close to Camas Meadows Golf Course.

It is close to public transport (near a MAX light rail station), the airport and outdoor activities (the Columbia Gorge; Mt Hood) and is a 20-30 min drive to downtown. It's cozy (eclectic vintage style), a wooded 1-acre setting within the city limits, and has secure premises (electric gate). Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Please no young children.

The guest cottage offers self check-in. It is located in a quiet neighborhood in SE Portland. High ceilings make this studio airy and bright. We think of it as a perfect hotel room without the hotel.
