The MatopHouse – an idyllic Midlands escape

Solar-powered MatopHouse is a very carefully considered sanctuary. It's enveloped by a garden frequented by birds, hares, a mongoose and duikers, and has views of the distant Karkloof hills. This modern farmhouse is situated on a dam, on a working farm, close to the Nottingham Road village. Overlooking a small dam, it is north-facing with views of the surrounding ridge and farm activities. The house has a glass enclosed patio, large open plan living area/kitchen, and four en-suite bedrooms downstairs. The loft area is divided into two bedrooms, a bathroom and a TV area. This home is ideal for a weekend in the KZN midlands, and very comfortably accommodates 2-3 families or 8 adults.

A charming , spacious, house in the secure Gowrie Village in Nottingham Rd. Cosy in winter with a wood burner in the lounge and another in the kitchen. It overlooks a field, is peaceful and quiet and yet close to the coffee shops and eating places. A home away from home we offer comfort. (It is not a modern build, as it is one of the first houses built in Gowrie Village) Kindly note, there are 2 outdoor cats on the property that are only around for food.
