The location is the stunning South Arm Peninsula offering many coastal trails, beaches, and a key site for viewing the Aurora Australis. Easy access to Hobart (40mins) and the Airport (30ms).

Our cosy and humble cabin - an old pickers hut from the farm's previous life as an apple orchard - is located in the stunning Huon Valley, with views across the stunning Huon River to the snow capped mountains of the Southwest. Just a few minutes from the charming village of Cygnet and its many great cafes and shops.

Using the shack as your base, no matter which direction you choose to venture, there’s an array of experiences and activities to explore, 20 min to Hobart Airport, 40 min to Hobart, gateway to Richmond, East Coast, Port Arthur and the Tasman Peninsula. A simple life by the sea…. Breakwater Lodge is our hideaway. A refuge from everyday life. Fishing, sleeping, reading, snuggling in bed, cozying up to the wood fire with a glass of wine in hand, meandering along the beach, private boat sheds or fossicking for mussels on the lichen covered rocks…… a place where we can dream.
