The Mendon Cottage is clean, cozy and private. It’s just a 15 minute drive to Killington base, even in a fairly decent snow storm. There are trails behind the property that offered some good hiking for our doggo (they’re made for snowmobiles, but we didn’t spot one during our stay). The property delivers on its main promise: a less pricey alternative to staying at Killington, with very little inconvenience for the ski bums. Unless you simply can’t live without the ability to take the shuttle and ski off the mountain to your rental, you really can’t go wrong with this property. (It snowed our entire stay and the private road and driveway were plowed repeatedly and always navigable.)

It’s a cozy cottage in a friendly neighborhood. It was perfect for our stay to visit Castleton for the price.

Quant cozy cottage rich with local Vermont history, artisan crafted fireplace, tastefully decorated, and uniquely situated in picturesque mountains of Vermont. Although we were there in rainy misty weather, the Mountain View’s were spectacular. I would love to come back in the fall or snow season for Mountain View’s! Great host

We had a great time during our stay. The place is beautiful and Marianne was very helpful with local recommendations.

If you are looking for an idyllic lake house experience, this is it! We could have spent our entire trip just sitting on the porches—upstairs, downstairs, one screened-in porch, and the lovely dock. We used the kayaks and the paddle boat multiple times. The house was perfect for us because we are a close family of three, but if you need privacy from other guests, this wouldn’t be the ideal house as one bedroom opens into the other. The beds are soft and comfortable as is the sofa. Paula and Tim were extremely responsive and helpful. We would absolutely return to this house. It was difficult to leave the gorgeous leaves.

Nice clean place to stay and excellent communication from the hosts. The property matches what's described. We were skiing all day and was a good spot to crash. It was bit further from Killington than we wanted, but that was clear up front!

Great location close to Ragged Mountain for winter sports. Comfortable home, lots of beds for kids (wish the homes we had stayed in when our kids were little were as well stocked with toys and a fun toddler bed!) Also loved that the pantry was stocked-we unexpectedly got to have fresh baked muffins with breakfast.

We had a lovely weekend in Megan’s home. The space was adequate for our family of 6. The home is in a quiet neighborhood that’s a short drive to Okemo so it was perfect for our ski weekend.

Perfect location! Mad Bus stops right outside the front door. Nick was very helpful and responsive. Will definitely book again.
