A beautiful and spotlessly clean home with all the comforts to make our stay a magical experience. The undercover patio is weatherproof and was our favorite place to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature and the lush natural foliage. The monkey troop that passed through daily were curious and not a nuisance at all - we loved watching them for the few minutes that they visited us every day. The home is furnished with an array of interesting and personal items that were fascinating and intriguing. And so many wonderful books to suit all tastes! We were blown away by the dog bed and water bowl that awaited our two small dogs - such a lovely touch! Easy access to the garden for our house-trained dogs. Absolutely no security concerns at all. The estate is a wonderland of walking trails, dams, indigenous natural bush and wildlife. We will definitely be back - 8 nights was just too short! Absolutely lovely flat. The linens, made by Camille’s company it turns out, were some of the nicest I’ve ever slept on — and I’ve spent a great deal of time in luxury hotels for work. ( If you’re local check out That’s Linen ). If, like me, you’re booking because it’s walking distance to stuff, be prepared for a workout on the way home. But hey, great views don’t come without steep climbs.

We checked in Friday afternoon with my family for the weekend. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The house is exactly how it looks as advertised, great view to wake up too and a walkable distance to the beach. The entire house is well furnished with fresh bedding and towels for us to use. Really an enjoyable place to stay at. The hosts were so friendly enough to let us check out abit later. I would highly recommend this place for everyone ( families and friends).

We had the best time! The place is even more gorgeous than the photos — super light and airy, beautifully decorated, incredible ocean views and and an easy walk to the beach Amazing book collection — so many great reads for lazy afternoons. You can tell a lot of love and thought went into the space. Thulani was amazing — warm, welcoming, and always quick to help if we needed anything. Such a gem! It was the perfect beach break — peaceful, comfy, and totally recharging. Thank you very much, highly recommended.

We arrived around 5pm and found the key in the lockbox. Sandy was very responsive to our needs. There was a problem with one of the air conditioners and she sent a technician out to remedy the problem. The solar panels, inverter and battery were a real bonus as there were a couple of unexpected power outages and we were not affected by them. The house is spacious with beautiful sea views from most of the bedrooms and living areas. It is well decorated and makes for good and comfortable living with more than enough kitchen utensils to cater for our full house of eight people and three dogs. Sipho worked during the week keeping the garden and pool area clean, including cleaning the braai. We used him inside a couple of times to clean at an additional cost paid directly to him. He even washed our cars without being asked to do so. When the deck overlooking the ocean became a bit windy, we used the well protected pool and covered braai area. The pool table and dart board added to the fun

What an amazing getaway - absolutely stunning views, walking distance from the beach and near amazing restaurants and shops. We had our toddler and our senior dog with us, and both of them enjoyed it thoroughly. Felt like home away from home. Will definitely be going back 😀 thank you Margriet for being such an amazing host.

Janne's place really is a home away from home. The cottage is peaceful and surrounding by a wonderful garden that overlooks some of the best parts of Durban. We didn't want for anything, the kitchen was well stocked with essentials, the bed was large and comfy, the internet was fast, the aircon is very effective and the cottage was very easy to lock up and go. I highly recommend this spot when in Durban and will be back!

Perfectly located home for those travelling with children and pets. All amenities from shops, restaurants and the main salt rock beach are close by. Ballito is a hop, skip and jump away with all its beaches, shops and restaurants. The pool is a winner for afternoon swims after long days at the beach. You won't be disappointed booking this spot!

Iryna is a wonderful host. Her communication is excellent and her team is warm and friendly. The apartment is beautiful, spacious and has a stunning view. Our furchild was also allowed with no hesitation which we appreciated. There is a daily clean included at no extra charge. Highly recommended stay. Thank you for our checkout gifts :)

What can I say except WOW! Started off the day watching the sun rise over the ocean while enjoys a wonderful cup of tea on the two chairs dedicated to Nono and Maxime. We could then walk down to Thompson Bay beach directly from the garden. When a day in the waves was over, a short walk up the steps to the outdoor shower by the pool for a quick dip then a quick braai on the amazing stainless steel braai by the pool. To end it all, going to sleep with the doors open listening to the waves crashing all night! And in the morning, Elizabeth was there to sort out our messy dishes and Russel washed off all the kids beach toys…. I can’t recommend the place enough and hope to be back next year. I stayed at the Emerald Suite for 7 nights with my two children aged 5 & 3. Lucy & JP were perfect hosts: they were generously kind, helpful and always easily contactable. We spent a lot of time at the beach, and at the public pool on the estate; and ate out at Fika, the clubhouse restaurant. It was lovely to have these amenities so close at hand. The accommodation is new, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is well equipped and we felt very much at home. Thank you, Lucy & JP!

Wendy's cottage was absolutely beautiful, had a gorgeous garden & was private. It had all the amenities including the use of a pool. Wendy was very friendly & kind, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back soon! Thank you so much Wendy.

It was lovely to be there but we actually wanted a beach house,anyway Jane was a great Host and hepful and advices , my advices wsill be to update on furniture to be modern because the photo shows the house outside and its a night photo with lights,it is nothing compared to a hotels but we enjoyed our stay and the privacy she privided.

Paul and Lee were quick to respond and a pleasure to deal with, also gave great recommendations to nearby restaurants. The house is so cozy and outdoors beautiful and peaceful, just what we were looking for. Would highly recommend and amazing value for money. Will be back.

Wonderful experience and great hosts. Had such a great time with all the amenities. Super clean !!! Host takes note of what you may forget ie. Charcoal, fire lighters, matches, foil, serviettes, milk etc

Michelle, Nombuso and Tristan were all very friendly, communicative and welcoming, as were Sabre and Leia! The location is lovely and the apartment very comfortable. Two things worth mentioning: 1. If you happen to hear a sound like a walrus giving birth, it's almost certainly Sabre giving himself a back rub against the branches of a large shrub. He's found a branch at exactly the right level, and will give vent to his joy when he gets just the right spot. 2. I didn't raise this with Michelle as there is really nothing she could do about it, but for future guests I think it'd be as well to be aware that the driveway is pretty steep and you have to reverse in as there isn't space to turn around. If, like me, you're in a hired car which you may not be entirely familiar with, it can be challenging. I'd still go back.

I’ve stayed at Debbie’s Beach Studio a couple of times and I love every visit!!! The huge draw card for me is the proximity to the beach and promenade and that her house is pet friendly. I can’t wait for my next visit!!!
