Our stay at Mariana’s place was incredible. We were a group of 8 (2 families) and it was very comfortable. Our kids enjoyed the pool and spent most of the time in it when we were at the house. We saw a sloth upon arrival very close to the back of the house. Lots of monkeys and Macaws as well. Mariana went well above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience. The only caution is the slippery tile nearby the pool (we made sure our kids walked in the pool area). I would 100% stay at Mariana’s again.

We loved Gretel’s place - it was a beautiful spot and we felt right at home. It has a fantastic kitchen, a spacious living area, nice bedrooms and a great porch. The pool was really refreshing and was a nice escape from the afternoon heat. We also got to see some amazing wildlife close up - we were visited by some squirrel monkeys, a howler monkey, a toucan and a pair of Scarlett Macaws. It is in close proximity to Manuel Antonio National Park and a bunch of other excursions and near many great local restaurants. I highly recommend.

Beautiful off the beaten path home next to the beach. House was beautiful with air conditioning that helped on the hot and humid days. Beach was just across the street which was nice though rip tides were possible so had to swim during certain times of the day to avoid them. Jefferson was always responsive with anything we needed and even offered to do laundry for a small fee which was nice and convenient.

What a gem of a location! Thank you, Erica, for sharing your beautiful home so others can experience the magic of the jungle in a stunning, clean, comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped house with the most perfect pool, with refreshingly cool, clean water that doesn't smell of chlorine! We stayed for a long weekend, 3 nights, and enjoyed every minute of it! Like in most remote parts of Costa Rica, a 4x4 is needed to drive up the dirt road to the property, but it wasn't nearly as bad as others we tackled during our 2-week stay. We stayed in 6 different places, and this was by far the nicest and where we felt most comfortable. Being on a mountain, the coastal climate is much more moderate and bearable. The lush jungle, the variety of species, and the sounds of nature you can enjoy from a hammock or the pool are absolutely mind-blowing! Thank you!

This was one of the best places I have ever stayed away from home, and I travel a lot. The backyard of this house is the national park. This place was everything and more. We saw monkeys every day, multiple times a day. The monkeys passed right through the back yard and sat there to play and hang out in perfect view for 2-3 hours. Chipuken monkeys, squirrel monkeys, howler momeys, scarlet macaws, tucans, etc. We saw it ALL! The dip pool is awesome and you even have an ocean view! Definitely worth the booking. Sam and Raquel were absolutely amazing host and will take care of all your needs while you are there and will tell you all about the things to do and see. Highly recommend!!

El lugar es tal como se describe en las fotos, es pequeño pero justo con lo necesario. La distribución del espacio está muy bien aprovechada, la piscina es un gran complemento. La playa Matapalo se encuentra a 600 m y es una playa "virgen" son construcciones, grandes edificios, y estaba limpia a donde fuimos.

This house was a great location. Once we arrived, we had Squirrel monkeys all over the place to welcome us. We saw a ton of wildlife like Monkeys, Tucan's and Macaws. The pool was great to relax in and the outdoor shower really adds to the vibe. There is a market a short drive away to get your groceries as well. We would stay here again if we ever go back to Manuel Antonio!

We had a great stay at John’s place. Some highlights would include the concierge Jordan and his help coordinating a ride to and from SJO, meeting us at our arrival to assist with questions and access to apartment and helping us through a small family emergency. We also really loved the driver Tony (very friendly, willing to stop at any point and very good with our kids) and the spotless vehicle that was used for our airport transfer. As many have mentioned before, the view was incredible. I enjoyed spending the mornings looking for wildlife and drinking coffee. I also appreciated how great the AC worked and the number of beds that were in the apartment. Thank you!

El lugar es realmente increíble, las vistas y el sonido del río es la combinación perfecta. El apartamento está bien cuidado y limpio, realmente te sentís como en casa. Además, hay varias actividades que podés hacer: caminar por los senderos, nadar o hacer ejercicio rodeada de naturaleza. Marlene es una gran anfitriona, siempre atenta y con una gra disposición para ayudarte. ¡Nos encantará volver!

El apartamento es demasiado bonito una vista impresionante, aseado con utensilios a fácil acceso para mantener la limpieza, súper completo la cocina tiene todas las comodidades para la preparación de alimentos y una gran variedad de utensilios y muy espacioso la sala de estar y comedor son justos para compartir con libertad de espacio, por último y muy importante la atención de don Miguel es muy precisa, oportuna y muy cordial, brinda indicaciones claras y responde en tiempos cortos de espera. Sin dudar lo recomendaría el precio es justo y el lugar es muy agradable. Una particularidad es que en el condo las personas en general son muy respetuosas y amables.

The place was great. Hazel was great fully stocked kitchen. Everything worked well. I will definitely say again.

My family loved our stay at the Toucan Condo at Chaman Villas. The condo was great with the two bedrooms and two baths. It allowed my kids to sleep in different beds. The kitchen is great and my kids enjoyed the balcony and looking for monkeys and sloths. We loved being able to swim in the pool (what looks like a hot tub is just a small pool with jets where the water spills into the pool below). A couple of things I would note: 1. The location is near the road and there are motorcycles that go by at all hours. 2. The condo itself requires going down about 15 steps and then back up 15 steps from the main walkway. 3. The unit is very secure with three different locks, from the property gate to the unit lock to the slider door lock. 4. If you want to see monkeys or sloths, the best time seemed to be early am (6am) or late morning (10am). Best viewing is by the pool but can also see from the balcony. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Toucan condo and would go back!

Perfect location between Emilio's Cafe and Hotel Mariposa. We walked to every fantastic meal we enjoyed. Loved the pool and the monkeys. Host's assistant Hector was very helpful and responsive. Thank you!!
