Just got back from a lovely short break at the “ Sheep Pen” . The accommodation was spotlessly clean and in the most beautiful surroundings and so peaceful and quiet! Really comfy bed and excellent shower and all the home comforts you need. Also the added bonus of feeding the lambs! Sam and Neil are so friendly and made our stay hassle free! We will definitely visit again.

I stayed at Emma’s home with two friends for a weekend visiting Hay-on-Wye. It was a great location - walkable to the town in about 20/30 minutes or less than a 5 minute drive. Emma’s home is spacious but cosy and full of books! It had everything we needed - would definitely stay again.

If you are looking for a remote place to reset from the world this is the place ! The most stunningly beautiful place surrounded by sheep and hills , we spent hours sat in the sunny conservatory watching the birds eatting - it’s blissful 🫶. The cottage has everything you need to have a wonderful cosy stay and Jon is a super helpful host - it was a Little slice of heaven at Little pudding cottage and we will most definitely be back to enjoy it again in the future . If there is a clear night you can literally see every single star in the sky it’s breathtaking . We walked a lot with the dogs over the fields , if you go off piste there is a fair amount of boggy areas and we found lots of ticks on the dogs when we came back so just be aware that April onwards is tick season so double check your furry friends to make sure they stay happy too ☺️ Thanks Jon for letting us enjoy your beautiful cottage- we have truly loved every second of it ❤️

The Twmp Barn is a great place to get away from it all. It has great views of the Brecon Beacons and the dog loved running around the ample garden (more like a field really). Plenty of good walks within a short drive. Comfortable beds & pillows. Well equipped kitchen. Hot tub with views! We lit the log burner each day for cosy nights in with the big smart tv. Many thanks to Coleen & Martin for welcoming us (and to Cilla their friendly dog!).

Wow! What to say?!! The Apple Loft is incredible! We had to tear ourselves away this morning: we could have looked at that view forever <3 Jenny and Jemima were the perfect hosts, with excellent communication and the warmest welcome to match the gorgeousness of the location. The Apple Loft is perfectly appointed, thoroughly charming and a beautiful haven. Its seclusion is part of its appeal, with very little traffic noise to interrupt the tranquility and birdsong. Our welcome pack was deliciously generous, and we particularly enjoyed toasting the marshmallows on the firepit, looking out over the fields at sunset. We were away for a long weekend, celebrating my 50th birthday, and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The Apple Loft was warm, cosy, and airy at the same time! It had everything we needed and more besides. It was clean and comfortable; quirky touches (like the spoon cupboard handles!) added to its appeal and homeliness. I could go on, but this is my character limit :)

We were looking for a relaxing few days after a hectic couple of months and our stay couldn't have been more perfect. A stunning location next to the Wye with everything you could need within walking distance. Thanks Sally.

Maureen and Annie went above and beyond with pre-arrival phone calls to check our requirements to meeting us upon arrival with lights in the cottage glowing, the fire set, appreciated hand written welcome notes, a ball for our dog as well as dog bowls, throw and towels. The very comfortable cottage was constantly warm with lashing of hot water. The views over the estate and countryside were astonishing. A perfect place to explore Hay on Wye, Brecon and Hereford and beyond with lots of pub and restaurant recommendations as well as places to visit by Maureen.

Absolutely stunning location, the cottage and the extra little hideaways were a treat. My mum, husband, (borrowed) dog and I had the most relaxing and beautiful stay. The bird life was incredible. Stunning walks. Thanks Adam, for a very lovely stay.

We had a lovely time at Mary’s converted barn. Everything is at it looks on pictures! Mary is very friendly and responsive. She gave us clear instructions before arrival. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit Hay-on-Wye and its surrounding areas! Thanks again for the stay, we would love to come back again!
