Mike and Carol were wonderful hosts. Their cottage is beautiful and exceeded our expectations in every way! We will gladly stay there again the next time we are in town.

Very unique place. We enjoyed the grounds and sitting by the fire outside. Our fur baby enjoyed exploring too. It was relaxing and peaceful, exactly what we were looking for. We also drove into nearby Covington and had a great lunch at LOLA.

The house was beautiful and very clean, also it was perfect for my pets. The instructions were very easy to follow and the host responded to me very quickly. When I visit my family in Louisiana again I will definitely try to get that same place. It was very nice.

Myrtle cottage is everything we expected and more, but the true gem is Bobbie herself. She has a beautifully appointed house, meticulously clean and she has thought of everything to make you feel welcome. We frequently visit the North Shore and this is by far and away the top choice of all the places we have stayed. She takes Southern hospitality to a new level! We enjoyed the wildlife, beautiful surroundings and peaceful property. There are plenty of places to explore and visit within 20-30 minutes, and the restaurants in the area will not disappoint. We look forward to returning to this little slice of heaven and visiting Bobbie our resident Southern angel.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We were in town for our daughter's wedding. The place was very close to the church, reception venue, hair salon, and any other stores that we needed to get to pick up last minute items. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, situated near the lake. Marcelle was very accommodating and responded to our questions quickly. We had a party of 6 adults, and there was plenty of room for us to gather, relax, and prepare for the wedding without being in one another's way. The home is beautifully appointed, and we had everything we needed to keep groceries and cook meals during our stay. We highly recommend a stay at The Cottage on the Lake.

This was amazing! A little over a hour away from home so not a lot of driving for this hidden treasure that we ran across. We were catching fish in their stocked pond, within 5 minutes of putting our poles in the water. Ashley and JP went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable and it was the perfect anniversary weekend.

The home was very clean when we arrived.We had no problem finding it or getting in with the instructions provided. It was very very relaxing to sit on the porch or on the swing by the water. We enjoyed our stay and will stay again soon.
