It's a wonderful safe place where guests are invited to walk, run or cycle the many paths, bathe in the sparkling Karkloof river and tributory streams, or simply re-energise in the clean air and soak up the African sun on a working farm. The lodge is so secluded and ideal for romantic getaways, families and naturists, enjoy!

We are 4kms away from the quaint little village of Nottingham Road which is on the Midlands Meanders. There are over 50 different places and things to do on the Meander. The setting is so peaceful and tranquil with wonderful fishing and beautiful views, Such a wonderful place to get away from the rest of the world, relax ,paddle on the dam and do some great fishing.

As the name suggests, the farm was once used to grow mushrooms, but has since been renovated into modern accommodation and is now an attractive destination for the whole family- including pets! Beacon Vlei is situated on the Midlands Meander in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands South Africa. We have 5 self catering cottages which are all fully equipped with satellite TV, fireplaces for winter, fully equipped kitchens, en suite bedrooms and magnificent views over our 23 hectare private dam which is well stocked with large mouth Bass. The perfect spot for the avid Bass fisherman. We are a family friendly establishment and we are pet friendly.
