We had an amazing trip to this beautiful property to celebrate a birthday! Wonderful house that was perfect for our party of 3 couples plus kids and dog! And what a fabulous and peaceful location! Cooking lunch for 8 was a breeze with everything being in hand in the kitchen! Hoping to making staying here an annual event ! Thanks to Carolyn for being so communicative and accommodating

Maxxs place was a real find. We were in the area for a family wedding and needed a place with multiple and flexible options for many family members. This was perfect for us. It is in a beautiful location with a description that all the family describing it as quirky. There were so many delightful finds and it is clear that there are more work being done. about 12 kms from the centre of Murrumbateman, and next to the chocolate place, this was the combination of peace and access. Each room has beautiful view to the dam/lake and the wildlife is abundant. The addition of domesticated chickens and alpacas were a delight for the children. The bunk room was ideal for the children to do what they wanted. We would definitely recommend.

We (12 family members) came to Wattagan Homestead to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. The three “wings” and spacious common areas were just perfect for us. It allowed us to be together but also have our own space too! In addition to this the lush green lawn, beautiful gardens, outdoor seating area(s) and ability to roam the property was just amazing. Meg was a wonderful host, so easy to contact and she made everything so easy for us all. We had absolutely everything we needed. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic stay. They are so friendly and helpful with a good sense of humor. Breakfast was served with a beautiful view so that’s a great start of the day. Hopefully we will be back in the area so we can schedule more time @ they’re relaxing property. We definitely recommend staying here ☺️.

We stayed for one night at this beautiful miniature donkey farm near Gunning as a pit stop during our move from Geelong to Sydney — and what a memorable experience it was! The setup was cozy, with a warm bed, natural surroundings, and all the amenities you could need, including a heater and a fully furnished kitchen that made the stay very comfortable. The host was absolutely lovely — despite our late arrival, she made sure we felt welcomed and settled in. She gave us a tour of the farm and even showed us how to use the pianola, which was such a fun touch. Highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for peace, charm, and a unique farm experience. We’d love to return for a longer visit next time!

Bec’s place was incredible and the space and views surrounding it were stunning. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway from the city in amongst the countryside and farm animals!

Rachel’s place was amazing. We stayed for one night on our way back to Sydney but wish we had more time there. Everything was clean and we loved all the little amenities. Our 1 year old absolutely loved seeing the animals. We had a great time and hope to return.

The most perfect and peaceful weekend ever! The attention to detail was immaculate, the fire pit had been set up, cheeseboard+sparking wine, butter eggs milk, AND EVEN MARSHMALLOWS!!! It was quite warm during the day, but gets very cold at night! But the house had an indoor heating, fire pit, outdoor heater and a warm bath/shower so it was amazing! We got to see heaps of animals, a fox, bunny, cows, sheep, friendly horses! we drove 20mins to Yass Woolies at night and we got to see HEAPS of kangaroos which was an amazing experience. Rob is a lovely host, you could just tell she puts in maximum effort to make sure the guests are satisfied! (little tip: not too sure if it was our phones glitching, but although we had downloaded the pinned location on Google Maps, the pin wasn’t accurate and we were a bit confused😅 you just have to trust the process and keep driving until you see the beautiful tiny house on a hill in the distance! You will be able to see it from the main road!)

My stay here at Woodgrove was exactly what I needed. It was heading out to Bungendore for events and looking for somewhere relatively quiet and remote on the Outskirts of Canberra that I could easily travel to and from. It was a shame I didn’t have time to visit all the beautiful shops and nursery’s that are located on this road and the winery but I just didn’t have time during the day. Tracie-Ann was really responsible and flexible with my check in and stay and even came out to watch our event that was going on at the Rodeo grounds. Would definitely stay here again :)

We stayed at the Lake George Homstead. 7 adults and 3 children and a pet Labrador. The property has enough bedrooms to easily accommodate a large group in comfort with privacy. Extra large living and dining area was an attractive feature. We stayed for 2 days. Apart from exploring the vineyard and enjoying a wine tasting with pizzas from the vineyard Cafe we used the property as a base to explore Canberra.

Lisa was so wonderful and very helpful. Their home was beautiful and my entire family loved being there. It was the perfect location to host our family celebration. Thank you again for all your help Lisa and co

Warroo Homestead has phenomenal views over the valley! Watching the sunset from the pool deck was a highlight. The pool provided non stop fun and entertainment for our family of 6 adults and a couple of toddlers. We all felt relaxed and rejuvenated from the peacefulness and tranquility that the property provides. The home is a kilometre off the road and the only neighbours were sheep, friendly cows and kangaroos. The home is tastefully decorated and the beds were comfy. We kept pinching ourselves when we sat on the back verandah and looked out over the pool to the rolling hills, our own little piece of paradise for a very enjoyable long weekend. Thank you Cyrus and April for your hospitality.

Rosie's place is as described,it is beautifully appointed and surprisingly warm even though there was a frost the loft was warm. All her little extras were very 😋 I would not hesitate to recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the residence, which offered exceptional comfort, impressive amenities, and impeccable cleanliness. The expansive outdoor spaces provided ample opportunity for relaxation within the compound. Our host, Helen, demonstrated outstanding hospitality and was readily available to assist with any queries. The property's location was equally impressive, situated mere minutes from the Majura Park Shopping Centre. Overall, our experience was outstanding, and we eagerly anticipate returning on our next visit to Canberra.

We loved our stay at Nikki’s cottage. It comfortably fit our 2 families of 4 as we each had our own ‘wing’ of the cottage which was perfect. The cottage is well appointed and full of country character that makes you feel right at home. The location is beautifully peaceful and quiet with plenty of space for kids to run around. We particularly loved the outdoor fire pit and spent a lot of time here under the stars. Nikki and her husband were very welcoming and friendly and quick to offer any assistance if needed (which we didn’t). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again. Highly recommend a lunch at Shaw Estate! Thanks Nikki.

Helen was great host. An excellent communicator. The cottage is perfect as a base to explore the area with a secure space for the dog. I would stay there again if I needed somewhere close to Canberra and outlying areas. It was very peaceful

It’s a beautiful spot, so good I almost don’t want anyone else to know about it! I took my mum and dad who are from the uk, and they didn’t think they had ever been somewhere so peaceful. Loved the pool and the fire pit, the board games kept us busy and the provisions were excellent, some of the best bread I have ever had. Michelle was super responsive and helpful. So thanks a lovely couple of days.

It's a very nice little cottage that has a private backyard and a deck with a nice view of the garden. We saw kangaroos in the morning. The place is very well-stocked, has a nice kitchen, toys for kids, boardgames, and books. very peaceful.
