Parks & Nature
The hikes and views are breath taking! There are longer and shorter hikes suitable for all abilities and ages. I enjoy all the hikes in the park, but here is a suggestion. Go early in the morning and hike Angels Landing while it is cool. Once you get down and the sun is hot, you can go hike the Narrows (a river hike) to cool off. The Narrows is a paved 1 mile easy - moderate walk in the canyon.

This is an inexpensive state park that you can either drive through and enjoy the views or take some time and do long or short hikes. There is also a smaller sand dune that is fun to run around in and play.
Here is a great all around spot for the mountain biker, rock climber, and hiker. Chuckwalla is full of climbs ranging from easy (5.8) to more difficult (5.12). The trail close by is also used by hikers and mountain bikers.

Sand Hollow is a great place to take dirt bikes, side x side, atvs, boats or wave runners. There is a beautiful lake to play in and some sand dunes just around the corner.

A permit is required for the group and possibly $8/person (I would take cash just in case but it might be by vehicle). The hike is moderate difficulty level and 4.8 miles round trip.
